Ticketing Options:
Car Flex Pass - One ticket is all you need for everyone in your car (up to 8 people). You don’t need tickets for each person—just one for the whole vehicle! Tickets are flexible—there’s no need to book a date or time. Use your ticket on any day and time during the 2025 Magic of Lights season, up to January 3rd.
Car Dash Pass - Skip the line! For only a few dollars more per vehicle, the Dash Pass allows you to bypass traffic and enter through the special Dash Pass lane.
Limo Dash Pass - Bypass the traffic and use the special Dash Pass Lane with the Limo Dash Pass. Load up your limo (9-16 passengers). Please note: Limos are not provided by the facility; guests must arrange their own transportation.
Bus Dash Pass - Ideal for large groups! The Bus Dash Pass allows vehicles holding 17+ passengers to skip the line using the special Dash Pass lane. Please note: Buses are not provided by the facility; guests must arrange their own transportation.
 A portion of proceeds from each vehicle supports 880 CHED Santas Anonymous and Canadian Tire Jumpstart, helping to spread joy and make a difference in our community.

Christmas gifts are the name of the game for Merry & Bright Christmas Crafting! We invite 7-12 year olds to come spend some time creating gifts for family and friends, or even just themselves.
The Christmas music will be pumping as participants decoupage, paint and sculpt their way through the day. With four project stations along with a card-making and wrapping room, each participant will leave with at least four gifts.
Pizza & veggies with ranch will be provided for lunch with cookies and hot chocolate, with all the trimmings, in the afternoon.Don't forget to send a water bottle and indoor shoes. Aprons will be available but we recommend sending kids in clothes that can get stained.
$50/child
When registering, there is the option to alert us to any allergies/medical considerations or to request to be placed in the same crafting group as other friends who have registered. 

Merry & Bright Christmas Crafting

Need a kick start to get writing? These drop-in nights will provide you a safe space to write, discuss, and share your work. Each session will include time to work on your own project or follow a freefall writing prompt. For the regular attendees, optional prompts will be given to work on outside of each session.
Please bring a notebook or charged laptop. No writing experience necessary.

Fran has worked an eclectic mix of jobs including youth worker, career counsellor, proposal writer, and a ten-year stint as VP for a career consulting firm. Her short stories have appeared in literary journals from coast to coast, and her plays have been produced for both theatre and radio. Fran has published two novels. The Shore Girl landed on the CBC Top 40-Book List and won the Alberta Reader’s Choice Award. No Good Asking, shortlisted for the 2019 Georges Bugnet and ReLit Awards, has been translated for international markets. Fran’s third novel, Cattail Lane, hit bookshelves in the spring of 2025.

Using classic guitars, historic photos, and masterful storytelling, Olson brings to life this "rockabilly roadtrip" from Memphis to small-town Alberta. Don't miss this one-man rockabilly spectacle where legendary songs, untold history, and nostalgia collide!

Stephen Olson is a classically-trained guitarist who learned to play Chet Atkins thumb-picking from his Uncle Lyndy. By playing bass and melody lines simultaneously, Stephen can authentically replicate the country and rockabilly sounds of the 1950s. Stephen draws the audiences in with his electric performances and stories from this golden era of music.

John Hewitt is a force not seen since the end of the 70’s. There are bands, artists and songwriters that mimic and imitate but John Hewitt absorbs and reimagines. From folk clubs to house concerts, festivals to halls John is a master of storytelling, arranging, producing and a painter of poems scarcely seen in today’s musical climate. Since his early teens taking in the powerful sounds of the Beatles, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and the Grateful Dead he has been wandering, searching and yielding a crop of new ideas from the old world.  A multi-instrumentalist from Sault Ste. Marie Ontario and being Alberta bound since 2018 John’s mark on the Western music scene is impossible to go unnoticed. Performing over 150 shows per year (From Alberta and British Columbia to Montana, Colorado, California and beyond), covering 20,000 miles per annum and releasing upwards of 3 albums in that same timeframe there is no comparison to the work ethic, the attitude and the drive that John has as an artist. Fronting the New Americans and touring solo most of the year his output impresses the young and the old, the folk and the rock, the country and the town and the only thing left at the end of the night is a feeling you won’t get anywhere else.
 

 
A poet born in the heat of Las Vegas, Abigayle Oakley blends the melodic richness of folk pioneers with the lyrical honesty oftoday’s confessional singer-songwriters. Her songs explore the complexities of life and the existential questions that shape us, often with a sharp, tongue-in-cheek wit that adds layers of humor and insight.
Abigayle made her Bluebird Cafe debut in 2024. She has toured the US and Canada opening for acts such as The War and Treaty, Jed and The Valentine, Forest Blakk and more.
Her songs have been recorded by Nashville artists including Kate Yeager, Molly Frances, and CMT’s September Artist of the Month, Ash Ruder. When not writing, practicing, or performing, you can find Abigayle hiking the beautiful hills of Tennessee.

"My creative interests revolve around ‘old world’ expressive activities. Exploring art using materials from days gone by gives me a peek into the past. I love to use natural materials. I enjoy fibre arts of all kinds, calligraphy and mixed media, where vintage items can be incorporated into my pieces. I have a soft spot for ancient handwork techniques such as knitting, spinning, tatting, felting, quilting and embroidery. I also love beautiful hand written words on fine paper. Recently I have been experimenting with eco-dyeing on fabric and paper, which brings nature into my work. I love how my art process, using any medium, calms my mind and makes room for the spirit to enter."

Portuguese-Canadian clarinetist Wesley Ferreira is an acclaimed soloist and orchestral musician. He always brings his infectious positivity, big smile, and way too many reeds to every rehearsal. Dividing time between his home in Spain and his native USA, guitarist Jaxon Williams is an active performer of both Classical and Spanish Flamenco styles. He also knows more about fingernail care than a certified beautician and can slap on a fake nail in 5 minutes or less. Since 2018, Jâca has brought their infectious charm to arts series and music festivals across the USA and worldwide. They have played in prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall and have been featured on national television and radio in Portugal, Ecuador, and the USA. Set against the backdrop of an enchanted forest, the play interweaves the adventures of four young lovers, a bumbling troupe of amateur actors, and the fairy king and queen. A mischievous love potion causes a night of hilarious mix-ups and chaotic confusion. This beloved classic explores the whimsical nature of love and the line between reality and dreams, culminating in a joyful resolution and a famously funny play-within-a-play. It is a perfect evening of laughter and magic.
Midsummer Night’s Dream is suitable for all ages and will be staged in a thrust style, immersive enchanted forest!

About the show:
Byron Martin and Simon Abbott are back at it again with their musical satire based on their favourite Christmas movie. Returning for the third year, this time even bigger and better! Sexy German criminal Alan Rickman-I-mean-Hans-Gruber leads an international gang of terrorists who seize an office tower during a Christmas party. John, a cop from New York, is trapped on the upper floors. He’ll need a Christmas miracle to save his power-dressing wife Holly and the other hostages. Ariose is an award-winning, nationally recognized choir of treble singers. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, and led by Artistic Director Jolaine Kerley, the group enjoys the challenge of exploring and performing music of various styles and from different periods, with the goal of exposing audiences to a vast array of choral music.
Join us on December 13, 2025, at 7 PM for Light in the Darkness, a winter concert that finds beauty and hope in the quiet of the season. As nights grow long and the earth lies still, music becomes a source of comfort and renewal — inviting us to pause, reflect, and feel the warmth of shared light. Through rich harmonies and expressive melodies, we move from gentle wonder to joyful celebration.
In this concert, we gather to honor wonder, peace, and the hope that shines even in the darkest winter.

A Quick Note on Ticket Types
If you’ve attended our concerts before, you may notice that our ticket pricing looks a little different this year. We’ve updated our pricing to better reflect our values and to make our concerts more accessible for everyone. This year, we’re introducing two new ticket tiers: Supporter Tickets and Accessible Tickets.
Supporter Tickets are for those who wish to contribute a little extra beyond the regular True Cost Ticket, which covers the basic operational costs of running the choir. The additional support from these tickets helps us do more — like commissioning new works, hiring guest musicians, and expanding our artistic reach. If you choose this option, we thank you sincerely for your generosity.
Accessible Tickets are available for seniors, students, children, or anyone with limited financial flexibility who would still like to join us. And if the accessible rate still presents a barrier, we also offer a free ticket option — simply email us at ariose.yeg@gmail.com. No questions asked.
This year, we’d especially like to extend our support to teachers affected by the recent strike. Please feel welcome to choose an accessible or free ticket — we’d love to bring you some holiday cheer in recognition of all you’ve done for Alberta’s young people.
