Ticketing Options:
Car Flex Pass - One ticket is all you need for everyone in your car (up to 8 people). You don’t need tickets for each person—just one for the whole vehicle! Tickets are flexible—there’s no need to book a date or time. Use your ticket on any day and time during the 2025 Magic of Lights season, up to January 3rd.
Car Dash Pass - Skip the line! For only a few dollars more per vehicle, the Dash Pass allows you to bypass traffic and enter through the special Dash Pass lane.
Limo Dash Pass - Bypass the traffic and use the special Dash Pass Lane with the Limo Dash Pass. Load up your limo (9-16 passengers). Please note: Limos are not provided by the facility; guests must arrange their own transportation.
Bus Dash Pass - Ideal for large groups! The Bus Dash Pass allows vehicles holding 17+ passengers to skip the line using the special Dash Pass lane. Please note: Buses are not provided by the facility; guests must arrange their own transportation.

"Marquis Crossing Ladies Society's First Attempt at Murder" sounds like an intriguing title for a mystery novel or a comedic play. Picture a quaint and seemingly tranquil town where a group of elderly ladies, known for their knitting circles and charitable bake sales, find themselves tangled in a surprising plot twist. Their serene routine is disrupted when a local nuisance threatens their beloved community center, and they jokingly concoct a plan to "eliminate" the problem. However, with their first attempt at murder, chaos ensues, leading to a series of humorous mishaps and misunderstandings. Stephen Olson is a classically-trained guitarist who learned to play Chet Atkins thumb-picking from his Uncle Lyndy. By playing bass and melody lines simultaneously, Stephen can authentically replicate the country and rockabilly sounds of the 1950s. Stephen draws the audiences in with his electric performances and stories from this golden era of music.

Need a kick start to get writing? These drop-in nights will provide you a safe space to write, discuss, and share your work. Each session will include time to work on your own project or follow a freefall writing prompt. For the regular attendees, optional prompts will be given to work on outside of each session.
Please bring a notebook or charged laptop. No writing experience necessary.

Facilitator: Fran Kimmel
Fran has worked an eclectic mix of jobs including youth worker, career counsellor, proposal writer, and a ten-year stint as VP for a career consulting firm. Her short stories have appeared in literary journals from coast to coast, and her plays have been produced for both theatre and radio. Fran has published two novels. The Shore Girl landed on the CBC Top 40-Book List and won the Alberta Reader’s Choice Award. No Good Asking, shortlisted for the 2019 Georges Bugnet and ReLit Awards, has been translated for international markets. Fran’s third novel, Cattail Lane, hit bookshelves in the spring of 2025.

John Hewitt is a force not seen since the end of the 70’s. There are bands, artists and songwriters that mimic and imitate but John Hewitt absorbs and reimagines. From folk clubs to house concerts, festivals to halls John is a master of storytelling, arranging, producing and a painter of poems scarcely seen in today’s musical climate. Since his early teens taking in the powerful sounds of the Beatles, Tom Petty, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison and the Grateful Dead he has been wandering, searching and yielding a crop of new ideas from the old world.  A multi-instrumentalist from Sault Ste. Marie Ontario and being Alberta bound since 2018 John’s mark on the Western music scene is impossible to go unnoticed. Performing over 150 shows per year (From Alberta and British Columbia to Montana, Colorado, California and beyond), covering 20,000 miles per annum and releasing upwards of 3 albums in that same timeframe there is no comparison to the work ethic, the attitude and the drive that John has as an artist. Fronting the New Americans and touring solo most of the year his output impresses the young and the old, the folk and the rock, the country and the town and the only thing left at the end of the night is a feeling you won’t get anywhere else.
 

 
A poet born in the heat of Las Vegas, Abigayle Oakley blends the melodic richness of folk pioneers with the lyrical honesty oftoday’s confessional singer-songwriters. Her songs explore the complexities of life and the existential questions that shape us, often with a sharp, tongue-in-cheek wit that adds layers of humor and insight.
Abigayle made her Bluebird Cafe debut in 2024. She has toured the US and Canada opening for acts such as The War and Treaty, Jed and The Valentine, Forest Blakk and more.
Her songs have been recorded by Nashville artists including Kate Yeager, Molly Frances, and CMT’s September Artist of the Month, Ash Ruder. When not writing, practicing, or performing, you can find Abigayle hiking the beautiful hills of Tennessee.

Buzz Brass

Christmas gifts are the name of the game for Merry & Bright Christmas Crafting! We invite 7-12 year olds to come spend some time creating gifts for family and friends, or even just themselves.
The Christmas music will be pumping as participants decoupage, paint and sculpt their way through the day. With four project stations along with a card-making and wrapping room, each participant will leave with at least four gifts.
Pizza & veggies with ranch will be provided for lunch with cookies and hot chocolate, with all the trimmings, in the afternoon.Don't forget to send a water bottle and indoor shoes. Aprons will be available but we recommend sending kids in clothes that can get stained.

When registering, there is the option to alert us to any allergies/medical considerations or to request to be placed in the same crafting group as other friends who have registered.

Jâca is an award-winning clarinet/guitar duo that combines world music, virtuosity, and humor to bring an adventurous, passionate, and completely original musical style to the stage. Jaca combines the intimacy of an instrumental duo with a larger-than-life energy to create an experience that consistently leaves audiences buzzing. “At a Jâca concert you’re not just a bystander, you feel a part of it.” – Humans of Chamber Music.
Described as an “alluring and stunning combination” (Take Effect) Jâca’s music is truly a unique fusion that fits into no single genre. From Flamenco to Fado, Appalachia to Argentina, and guitar slides to clarinet smears, the duo explores the highest limits of what their instruments can do. Their debut album, Breakthrough (Navona, 2022) has been honored by worldwide organizations including the International Portuguese Music Awards (Best Instrumental Performance 2023), and the International Clarinet Association. Portuguese-Canadian clarinetist Wesley Ferreira is an acclaimed soloist and orchestral musician. He always brings his infectious positivity, big smile, and way too many reeds to every rehearsal. A guitar prodigy from the age of 9, Aaron Young performed in and directed the world-beat stage show, Barrage, touring Asia, Scandinavia, the UK, Canada and the US. 
Young’s music has been featured on PBS, CBC, MTV, Bravo and the BBC. He has produced Barrage, The Polyjesters, John Wort Hannam, Susan Aglukark and Ghostboy.
The duo’s unique history results in an amazing show. Their first two albums garnered a YYC Music Awards 2023 Blues Recording of the year and a WCMA Music Award nomination for Blues Act of the Year.

"My creative interests revolve around ‘old world’ expressive activities. Exploring art using materials from days gone by gives me a peek into the past. I love to use natural materials. I enjoy fibre arts of all kinds, calligraphy and mixed media, where vintage items can be incorporated into my pieces. I have a soft spot for ancient handwork techniques such as knitting, spinning, tatting, felting, quilting and embroidery. I also love beautiful hand written words on fine paper. Recently I have been experimenting with eco-dyeing on fabric and paper, which brings nature into my work. I love how my art process, using any medium, calms my mind and makes room for the spirit to enter."

About the show:
Byron Martin and Simon Abbott are back at it again with their musical satire based on their favourite Christmas movie. Returning for the third year, this time even bigger and better! Sexy German criminal Alan Rickman-I-mean-Hans-Gruber leads an international gang of terrorists who seize an office tower during a Christmas party. John, a cop from New York, is trapped on the upper floors. He’ll need a Christmas miracle to save his power-dressing wife Holly and the other hostages. This Die-Hard-Christmas-Carol is about as stupid as it sounds with action packed comedy, tap dancing FBI agents and heartbreaking flashbacks of kids who are coughing too much.

Ariose is an award-winning, nationally recognized choir of treble singers. Based in Edmonton, Alberta, and led by Artistic Director Jolaine Kerley, the group enjoys the challenge of exploring and performing music of various styles and from different periods, with the goal of exposing audiences to a vast array of choral music.
Join us on December 13, 2025, at 7 PM for Light in the Darkness, a winter concert that finds beauty and hope in the quiet of the season. As nights grow long and the earth lies still, music becomes a source of comfort and renewal — inviting us to pause, reflect, and feel the warmth of shared light. Through rich harmonies and expressive melodies, we move from gentle wonder to joyful celebration.
In this concert, we gather to honor wonder, peace, and the hope that shines even in the darkest winter.

We’ve updated our pricing to better reflect our values and to make our concerts more accessible for everyone. Supporter Tickets are for those who wish to contribute a little extra beyond the regular True Cost Ticket, which covers the basic operational costs of running the choir. George Koller is an award winning bassist, producer and composer who has accumulated hundreds of wildly diverse performing, touring and recording credits in his expansive musical career. He has performed with many treasured musicians including Peter Gabriel, Holly Cole, Loreena McKennitt, Ian Tyson, David Clayton-Thomas, Phil Woods, The Shuffle Demons, Olivia Newton-John, Chaka Khan, Eddie Harris, Eartha Kitt and Laila Biali. George was presented with the 2007 national jazz award for “Bassist of the Year.” He collaborated with DJD for their productions Pivoting Echoes (2004) and Pulse (2006) and has performance and/or producer credits on over 800 albums.

A Midsummer Night's Dream, a play in One Act Adapted by Lindsay Price 
Experience the whimsical Shakespearean comedy of magic, romance, and mischief! Set against the backdrop of an enchanted forest, the play interweaves the adventures of four young lovers, a bumbling troupe of amateur actors, and the fairy king and queen. A mischievous love potion causes a night of hilarious mix-ups and chaotic confusion. This beloved classic explores the whimsical nature of love and the line between reality and dreams, culminating in a joyful resolution and a famously funny play-within-a-play. It is a perfect evening of laughter and magic.
Midsummer Night’s Dream is suitable for all ages and will be staged in a thrust style, immersive enchanted forest!  
Many of our characters are double cast.  To experience all of our talented performers, we encourage audience members to attend twice!
