The Arrogant Worms have spent over three decades making fun of a big dumb world. Their songs have been played on the radio, the internet, and in outer space (on the space shuttle Endeavour). The Worms began at Queen’s University in 1991 when some members of the student cabaret group, The Queen’s Players, started writing songs and sketches for the campus radio station CFRC. Soon the group became The Arrogant Worms (Chris Patterson, Mike McCormick, and Trevor Strong) who have since toured ceaselessly across Canada (and select other parts of the world), released 13 albums, and recorded with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Their song, The Last Saskatchewan Pirate, has been covered by bands such as Captain Tractor and The Longest Johns, and their Happy Happy birthday song is a viral sensation with over one hundred million views of the various fan videos on YouTube. More than thirty years after they began, The Arrogant Worms continue to provide tuneful and silly escapism for everyone who needs it.

Confusionaires are a world-class traditional rock & roll band that are steeped in both big-city rock & roll and small-town country music. Hailing from Edmonton, Canada, the trio of musicians has built a sound that’s synonymous with the best country and rockabilly acts around, with a strong penchant for original songwriting.
Since they began to record their third full-length album, a pandemic project “Westernization,” Confusionaires have broadened both their sound, and their reach beyond the barstool dwellers to include not only independent radio listeners, but also the festival and theatre-going audiences of Alberta and beyond. Their push to reach live music fans in these settings has proven fruitful, growing their fan base and their status beyond what seemed possible when they performing in the spring of 2016.
To date, Confusionaires have played over 100 shows in Western Canada, having played gritty punk rock shows and pristine theatre concerts alike, earning new fans in both settings. Now the trio is embarking on their first-ever international tour, which takes them to Nayarit, Mexico to play 8 shows between February 16th and 26th, 2024 before returning to Canada to start pre-production on what will be their fourth studio album.

But it also means some highly competitive Drag Racing. Fans can see dragsters, cars, trucks, and Junior Dragsters, all of which are competing for prize money and the all-important series points that go toward series championships at the end of the season.
The Bracket Drag Series combined with the NHRA Division 6 regional competition is the weekly series where local sportsman racers vie for year end points championship. Electronics, Non-electronics, Top Eliminator, Cash is King 1/8 Mile, Street Sportsman and Jr. Dragster

Fran has worked an eclectic mix of jobs including youth worker, career counsellor, proposal writer, and a ten-year stint as VP for a career consulting firm. Her short stories have appeared in literary journals from coast to coast, and her plays have been produced for both theatre and radio. Fran has published two novels. The Shore Girl landed on the CBC Top 40-Book List and won the Alberta Reader’s Choice Award. No Good Asking, shortlisted for the 2019 Georges Bugnet and ReLit Awards, has been translated for international markets. Fran’s third novel will hit bookshelves in the spring of 2025.

Under the Rocks is one of Canada’s premier emerging bluegrass acts. This heartfelt, talented bluegrass quartet that blends uplifting energy with a reflective reverence for the difficulties of reality that marries joy and sorrow and declares “YES”. Yes to all that it means to be alive on this planet, here and now.  

Hailing from Kelowna, Canada, Under the Rocks has emerged from a city with no other bluegrass acts to become one of Canada’s premier bluegrass bands. Featuring acoustic guitar (Jordan Klassen), fiddle (Chloe Davidson), banjo and mandolin (Chris Baxter), and upright bass (Nils Loewen) the band makes a big sound that tips its cap to tradition while incorporating singer-songwriter music intentionally put together with clever, inventive song arrangements, emotive instrumental breaks and powerful vocal harmony. Their shows commonly feature dancing, laughter, joyful hoots and hollers and serene moments accompanied by tears and tranquil sighs of release or appreciation.

Forged in the fires of Arizona’s seminal 90s rave scene, Markus Schulz first went state, then national and with equal pace, international. From the building blocks of progressive, trance & house, he crafted early anthems like ‘The New World’ and latter-day ones like ‘Destiny’. Caught between have been many a revered album (most recently Dakota’s ‘The Nine Skies’ and ‘We Are The Light’), a convoy of club hits and thousands of mesmeric performances, played out before untold millions. He’s helmed the scene-essential Coldharbour Recordings label for 13 years, chaired the Global DJ Broadcast radio show for 17 and remixed everyone from Moroder to Madonna.
His floor-bound adventures have met with equal acclaim. Through his native audience affinity, flawless mixing, instinctive tune selection and now famous, stylistically vast open-till-close sets, he has wowed crowds in every major city on Earth. Markus has scaled the upper reaches of the world’s DJ rankings, is a three-time winner of DJ Times’ America’s Best DJ crown (’12, ’14 & ‘18) and has drawn acclaim from every electronic music portal & press outlet on the planet. A regular fixture at the world’s biggest & most famous clubs, arenas and festival stages, weekly, he lays down his inimitable musical vision. In Europe, he’s floored audiences at events like Transmission, Electronic Family, Nature One and Dance Valley. He’s creamed Creamfields; gridlocked Global Gatherings and hosted his own stage at Tomorrowland. Stateside, EDC, Ultra, Nocturnal and numerous others have all similarly felt Schulz pressure. His legendary open-till-close sets, at spots like Space, Miami, LA’s Avalon, Stereo, Montreal, Amnesia, Ibiza and his International Residency at Ministry Of Sound have become rites of passage for music lovers around the world.
Most recently Markus conceived and delivered the ‘Watch The World’ album. Released in Oct, 2018, the album ran in the same stylistic vein as forerunner ‘We Are The Light’, with a heavy, all-but-exclusive emphasis on song-based tracks. Again the album afforded Markus the much-desired chance to resume the songwriting, which first came to the fore on ‘WTW’. The album’s first numbers were introduced by way of Spring ‘18’s ‘In Bloom’ EP. ‘Calling For Love’, which featured vocals from JES and the Emma Hewitt-sung ‘Safe From Harm’ both debuted as part of the EP. That was followed in the summer by ‘Upon My Shoulders’, which featured frontman from indietronica outfit Capital Cities, Sebu. The album also came to include a first time collaboration with Christina Novelli, as well as co-productions with Romanian stars Smiley and Alina Eremia.

After the massive success of the first edition, it had to be done again. Set in a WW2-era aircraft hangar, this rave is unlike any other in the city. Venue History: This aircraft hangar was constructed in WW2 in a joint effort with Americans. It is part of the Alaska Highway project, to build a road and a network of airfields to connect Alaska to the rest of the US. Today this space operates as an Aviation Museum.
