You'll find items such as: taxidermy, preserved specimens, original artwork, horror/halloween inspired pieces, antiques, handcrafted oddities, quack medical devices, creepy clothing, odd jewelry, skulls/bones, funeral collectibles & much more. We truly have something weird for everyone at our shows. All items you see at our shows are legal to own and sustainably sourced. Outside of our curated vendors, we host sideshow performers on stage all throughout day and the opportunity to learn the craft of taxidermy with classes available during the expo. The O&C Expo provides a safe place for anyone to come and discover new artists, meet new friends and be surrounded by an amazing community of like-minded people. We pride ourselves in being a completely "DIY" ran show from start to finish. Note:
Students will be provided with a total of 2 specimens. The first will be used to practice spreading and pinning your butterfly while the second, which is already dried, will be used for placement in your shadow box. 
All students will leave with a completed shadow box terrarium that includes your mounted butterfly and an increased knowledge and love for entomology! 
This workshop promotes ethical and responsible practices in butterfly preservation. All butterfly specimens used are sourced ethically, and participants are encouraged to respect legal and conservation guidelines when collecting or purchasing butterflies for their personal collections.

Ladies and gentlemen, pickleball enthusiasts, and supporters of the Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL), welcome to the grand opening of our much-anticipated second season – the CNPL Eastern Split! We are thrilled to kickstart this exciting journey once again at the prestigious One Health Clubs in the heart of Mississauga, Ontario.
As we gather here today, we reflect on the incredible moments that unfolded on these very courts during last season's playoffs. Now, we return to this hallowed ground to mark the beginning of a new chapter in the CNPL's history.

Overview: For those new to our league, let me introduce you to the format of our events. The CNPL Split events will feature our esteemed eight teams from across the nation engaging in a thrilling round-robin team competition. This format promises intense matches as each team faces off against the others in a battle for supremacy on the pickleball court.
Within these teams are the heart and soul of our league – 48 talented players, each ready to showcase their skills, determination, and passion for the game. From seasoned veterans to rising stars, the CNPL boasts a diverse roster of athletes who embody the spirit of competition and sportsmanship.

Competition at Its Peak: Three courts of thrilling team pickleball action will feature teams and players from the furthest corners of Canada.

Excited, frantic, nervous, and feeling nauseous all at the same time, Jesse goes to sleep with these thoughts racing through her mind. As she starts to dream, she imagines what medical school will be like and her anxieties start to seep through her consciousness. With her fairy godmother and tutorial group by her side, she tackles the challenges of problem-based learning. Will she ever be ready to take on her classes?
Our Mission
The Mac Med Musical is an annual production conceived by students at the Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine at McMaster University, with the purpose of raising money for the McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation. The musical promotes creativity and collaboration amongst those involved, with the final product being a spectacular original performance.
Mac Med Musical is a non-profit interest group, with all proceeds from the show to be donated to the McMaster Children’s Hospital Foundation. The Foundation is a registered charity that supports quality pediatric care in Hamilton and south-central Ontario.

The Toronto Songbook at The Rosedale Centre Presented by Hugh’s RoomDoors at 6:30pm, Show at 7:30PMTickets $40 advance + HST & Fees $45++ at Door 
From the Legendary Yorkville Scene of the 1960s to the present day, Toronto has produced some of the most revered songwriters in the world. The Toronto Songbook will celebrate the songwriting legends who first emerged here, such as Rosedale’s own Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young and Bruce Cockburn, along with a range of artists who have followed in their footsteps to make Toronto a true music city!
 The Toronto Songbook at Rosedale United Church will feature a variety of Toronto singers and musicians, each interpreting classic songs for a unique night of music. Confirmed artists include  Dala, John Finley from Toronto’s legendary 1960s R&B band Jon and Lee & the Checkmates, Rebecca Campbell and Free Play, featuring Suba Sankaran and Dylan Bell.  A full lineup will be announced shortly, and the singers will be backed by a house band under the creative direction of guitarist Michael Occhipinti.

Paul James has received many music awards during his long career in the music business. He is winner of a Juno Award, multiple Toronto Music Awards, The Maple Blues Lifetime Achievement Award for Blues Music in Canada, the London Fire Hall Lifetime Achievement Award, and he has many more music awards to grace his mantle. However, winning the respect of his musical peers always rated more highly than winning any awards for Paul.
In his own words Paul describes his tribute to Bob Dylan:
This show kind of evolved over a 50 year period...lol... I've been an admirer of Bob Dylan's music ever since I was a young teenager. I identified with many of his songs and had included some of his acoustic songs in my solo Acoustic Blues performances and some of his eIectric songs in my Paul James Band shows. Serendipity - I met and played with Dylan for the first time in 1986 and have performed with him about 10 times over the last 36 years...
This show is in honour of Bob Dylan's 83rd birthday which takes place the week before. Happy Birthday Bob!

The Rather Exceptional Ensemble includes David Woodhead, Anne Lindsay, Katherine Wheatley, Randall Coryell & Ian Bell 
James Gordon has been there. He’s done that. He has had a remarkably diverse and resilient career in the Canadian cultural sector. As a solo singer-songwriter and with the ground-breaking trio Tamarack, he’s recorded 40 albums and toured relentlessly around the world. He’s written for symphony orchestras, musical theatre, dance works, scored films, and for more than ten years was heard on CBC radio as songwriter-in-residence for the Basic Black and Ontario Morning programs. Between tours, James is a record producer, playwright, community activist, theatre director and just finished a two-term part-time "side hustle" as a Guelph City Councillor. These days he’s perhaps best known as the composer of the viral internet hit "Crybabies Caravan", about the so-called Freedom Convoy in Ottawa. It’s received more than 300,000 views and stimulated a lot of inspiring discussion.
David Woodhead:Immersed in the world of independent music-making from the start, David Woodhead has had a truly wide-ranging and dynamic career, evolving a distinctive melodic and textural approach that he can mold to fit almost any situation.
You’ve probably seen David’s name listed on the backs of recordings in your collection and, yes, he's on some 300 projects and worked with many influential artists including Perth County Conspiracy, Stan Rogers, Oliver Schroer, Gil Scott-Heron, and David Sanborn. His live gigs have included working with Malagasy guitarist Donné Roberts (a recent Juno nominee), James Gordon, Tamarack, classical-folk fusion-eers Ensemble Polaris and veteran jazzers Manteca, as well as touring internationally with master songwriter James Keelaghan. 
His own music draws from the intimacy of the folk world, the harmonic sensibilites of jazz, and a sense of precision from classical arranging, with room for freedom in individual expression and improvisation. David's Confabulation ensemble has a somewhat exotic and rambunctious nature, while the more recent Oriana Quartet is focused on taking a folk-jazz chamber music approach.
Anne LindsayAnne Lindsay has established herself as one of the most engaging and versatile instrumentalists in Canada, adapting her unique violin/fiddle style to the eclectic sounds and musical languages of this country’s rich cultural texture. 
She is a multi-award winning exuberant fireplug of a session-player-to-the-stars (Led Zeppelin, The Chieftains, Blue Rodeo, James Taylor, Roger Daltrey) whose skills have graced many a stage around the world. Anne has played on hundreds of recordings and is a featured performer with the Jim Cuddy Band, The Skydiggers and John McDermott. She was the resident fiddler for the Toronto Maple Leafs and the stage production of The Lord of the Rings. She has also built a formidable career on her own as a musician, composer and vocalist, all showcased brilliantly on her new album, Soloworks. 
Katherine Wheatley:Acoustic roots with catchy melodies, arresting vocals, great guitar playing, lyrics that get you and that you get - these are all things that have been written over and over again about Katherine Wheatley’s music. She sings truth, bravely, and in detail. Like Shawn Colvin, Edie Brickell and Joni Mitchell, Wheatley mines heartache and produces lyrical and melodic gold. And like one of her earliest influences, Gordon Lightfoot, she invokes nature to reflect the emotional intent of her songs.  
Katherine won the Duke Ellington Award for arranging, the Gordon Delamont Award for Composition and the CMPA award for songwriting at Humber College. Her song "Hallelujah" won a Golden Quill award and was selected, along with "Some Sweet Country" for the new Rise Again songbook (30th anniversary publication of Rise Up). Her solo show in Charlottetown was awarded "Performance of the Year” 2010 by the Guardian. She's been on Stuart McLean's Vinyl Cafe, TVO's Studio Two, CBC's Vicki Gabareau Show and CTV's Canada AM and has written music for film and television documentaries. 
Randall CoryellSince the age of 16, Randall Coryell has played drums and percussion on stage, radio, LP, CD, video, TV, in theaters, bars, bar miztvahs, booze cans, and bordellos with the likes of Bo Diddley, Mel Brown, the Edmonton Symphony Orches­tra, White Noise, Prince Char­les and the City Beat, Alannah Myles, The Marigolds, James Gordon, Tom Coch­rane and Red Rider, Roy Buchanan, Paul Butterfield, Quartette, Glass Tiger, Gwen Swick, Prairie Oyster, and Vytek-Coryell-Bird.
Ian BellIan Bell has performed across Canada and in the United States since the late 1970s On his own and with a number of different ensembles, he has appeared at numerous folk festivals (Winnipeg, Mariposa, Edmonton, Ottawa, Yellowknife, Owen Sound, Lunenberg , Montmagny, and others) and in concerts and dances in venues ranging from The Lincoln Center to the finest Ontario barns.
Ian was first smitten by the folk songs he heard at hootenannies he attended with his parents in the very early ‘60s, and later at the Mariposa Festivals of the early ‘70s. While in his twenties, Ian was lucky enough to be able to find ways to make music with a number of great players who were a generation (or two) senior to him. They included fiddlers Tommy McQueston, and Carl Grexton, stepdancer Alec Mulligan, fiddler/dance caller Jack Hayes, and later, Mennonite singer Onias Weber. Ian is forever grateful to them for their generosity of spirit and the links they forged in the long chain of traditional music.

This workshop is designed to teach classic hand sewing techniques in beading and leatherwork. Rosary Spence will guide you through the steps of creating moccasins by hand including pattern-making, beadwork, design, construction and care for your finished product. Students will be provided with all the necessary tools to complete their project and guided through the process from start to finish. This is a course best suited for youth 12+ and adults.
