The hardest trophy to win in Canadian hockey?
For the last 52 years, Junior A teams have faced off for the Centennial Cup, but only after claiming league titles first. Nine CJHL champions and a host team make up the field, and the 31 different championship teams have come from seven provinces.
The Road to the Centennial Cup includes 117 teams in nine leagues – from Canmore, Alta., to Flin Flon, Man., to Campbellton, N.B. This year, the host Oakville Blades will welcome the champions of:

The Oddities & Curiosities Expo showcases hand selected vendors, dealers, artists and small businesses with all things weird. You'll find items such as: taxidermy, preserved specimens, original artwork, horror/halloween inspired pieces, antiques, handcrafted oddities, quack medical devices, creepy clothing, odd jewelry, skulls/bones, funeral collectibles & much more. We truly have something weird for everyone at our shows. All items you see at our shows are legal to own and sustainably sourced. Outside of our curated vendors, we host sideshow performers on stage all throughout day and the opportunity to learn the craft of taxidermy with classes available during the expo. The O&C Expo provides a safe place for anyone to come and discover new artists, meet new friends and be surrounded by an amazing community of like-minded people. We pride ourselves in being a completely "DIY" ran show from start to finish. We find so much joy in being able to provide a place where you can feel at home surrounded by others that share the same interests. Note:
Students will be provided with a total of 2 specimens. The first will be used to practice spreading and pinning your butterfly while the second, which is already dried, will be used for placement in your shadow box. 
All students will leave with a completed shadow box terrarium that includes your mounted butterfly and an increased knowledge and love for entomology! 
This workshop promotes ethical and responsible practices in butterfly preservation. All butterfly specimens used are sourced ethically, and participants are encouraged to respect legal and conservation guidelines when collecting or purchasing butterflies for their personal collections.

Ladies and gentlemen, pickleball enthusiasts, and supporters of the Canadian National Pickleball League (CNPL), welcome to the grand opening of our much-anticipated second season – the CNPL Eastern Split! We are thrilled to kickstart this exciting journey once again at the prestigious One Health Clubs in the heart of Mississauga, Ontario.
As we gather here today, we reflect on the incredible moments that unfolded on these very courts during last season's playoffs. Now, we return to this hallowed ground to mark the beginning of a new chapter in the CNPL's history.

Overview: For those new to our league, let me introduce you to the format of our events. The CNPL Split events will feature our esteemed eight teams from across the nation engaging in a thrilling round-robin team competition. This format promises intense matches as each team faces off against the others in a battle for supremacy on the pickleball court.
Within these teams are the heart and soul of our league – 48 talented players, each ready to showcase their skills, determination, and passion for the game. From seasoned veterans to rising stars, the CNPL boasts a diverse roster of athletes who embody the spirit of competition and sportsmanship.
Highlights:


Competition at Its Peak: Three courts of thrilling team pickleball action will feature teams and players from the furthest corners of Canada.


Excellent Pickleball Facility: Enjoy the atmosphere of the GTA's best dedicated pickleball facility.

Originally from Victoria BC, pianist and composer Kate Wyatt is now considered one of the top-tier jazz musicians in the city of Montreal. She has been praised as having “musical ideas and a style of playing and writing that is on par with the current jazz piano elite: Mehldau, Yaron Herman, Shai Maestro, Fred Hersch”, and has been hailed as, “one of the top artists of Montreal, Quebec, or even Canadian jazz.” (Cardin/Brunet, panm360.com)

Hossein Behroozinia is an Iranian barbat and oud player. Behroozinia was a student at the Tehran Conservatory of Music, where he studied oud, tar, setar, tonbak, and daf. He studied oud under the supervision of Mansour Nariman, and he learned the radif under the supervision of Mohammad Reza Lotfi.

Join us at the Bata Shoe Museum for an exciting workshop celebrating the fusion of art, nature, and footwear design! In celebration of our In Bloom exhibition, we're thrilled to present a Clog Planter Workshop hosted by artist and professional gardener Wendy Woodworth. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore the creative potential of wooden clogs by transforming them into one-of-a-kind planters. No experience is necessary! 
Please present your ticket at the Front Desk upon arrival.
This workshop will take place in-person in Footprints at the Bata Shoe Museum (located on the ground level). All materials and general access to the museum are included. Lunch is not included in the ticket price. Please arrive 5-15 minutes prior so that the workshop can begin on schedule. Limited spots available. Refunds only permitted with over 72 hours notice. Within 72 hours notice, all ticket sales are considered final and refunds will not be issued. ABOUT THE ARTIST

Wendy Woodworth graduated from U of T with an honours Bsc. specializing in Botany. Gardening experience was gained working for the Toronto Parks Department both outside and in the greenhouses.
Starting in 1982 she worked at Spadina Museum, first helping with the rehabilitation of the grounds and then managing the 6 acres, growing the annuals and vegetables used in the gardens and supplying decorative plants and flower arrangements for the house.
Because Spadina is an historic site, Wendy did much research into the availability of plant material in Toronto over the time period of the house, which was originally built in 1866 and has given talks to garden clubs and historic societies.
