Step into the world of Outlander at the Fergus Scottish Festival with a special weekend of exclusive experiences featuring John Bell, beloved for his role as Ian Fraser Murray in the hit television series.
Across three days, fans will have the opportunity to meet John, hear behind-the-scenes stories from Outlander, and take part in a variety of interactive experiences inspired by Scottish culture and the world of the Frasers. Percy and Charlie are first-year students beginning their new lives at McMaster University, but their excitement is quickly interrupted by the heated rivalry between the most polar opposite programs: Chembio and Biochem. This long-running battle has been going on for years, but a recent scientific discovery by Dr. A. Minnit has provided a solution that could finally end this feud once and for all- time travel. 
This show is filled with friendship, drama, fights galore, and science, of course. Will the Chembios and Biochems mess up the timeline for good, or will they be able to get Mac To The Future?

Limited parking is available and free on the grounds, but if you live locally, walking to the grounds is encouraged!

"The Play That Goes Wrong" is a comedic play about a drama society attempting to stage a murder mystery called "The Murder at Haversham Manor". However, due to a series of mishaps, everything that can go wrong, does. The play follows the accident-prone thespians of The Cornley Drama Society as they battle against props falling apart, forgotten lines, and other technical difficulties, all while trying to keep the plot afloat. The audience witnesses a chaotic and hilarious attempt to reach the final curtain call.

 Unleash your creativity and curiosity in our Introductory Taxidermy Class! Designed for beginners, this hands-on course offers a fascinating glimpse into the art and science of taxidermy.
Class begins promptly at 10am and ends at 4pm.
We provide each student with either a skinned, cleaned, and tanned racoon, opossum, or rat hide depending on the workshop you are taking.
The first half of class is focused on preparing your form, setting the eyes, test fitting and mounting the hide, as well as grooming.
After our first 30-minute break class shifts towards plaque preparation and mounting your project.
The class runs for approximately 6 hours with two 30-minute breaks throughout the day.

Sunset Moths Entomology Class $150USD Unlock the artistry of entomology in our Introductory Bug Pinning Workshop! This hands-on experience is perfect for nature enthusiasts, aspiring entomologists, or anyone interested in the intricate craft of insect preservation. Join us as we guide you through the techniques of preparing and pining insects, transforming them into beautiful, display-ready specimens.
The AM class will begin promptly at 10am and last 2.5 hours.
You will learn the foundational skills of bug pinning, including safe collection methods, proper handling, and the step-by-step process of pinning and mounting your specimen.
Class exclusive!: Two specimens for the price of one!
Your first specimen will be a moth or butterfly that will be used to practice your newly learned pinning technique. Once you’ve completed this step we will move on to creating your unique frame and placing your Sunset Moth in its display case.

Accessibility: Masks (KN-95 or higher quality) are required in the venue when not drinking (provided free at the venue). HEPA filters will be in the space, and a Far UV light will be used for the stage area. Please stay home if you are not feeling well. 
The main entrance is on the building's east side and is accessible via a ramp for all patrons. The washrooms are not gender-separated and are located on the lower level, accessible by lift. Elan McMurray - Elan McMurray is a Toronto-born vocalist and songwriter whose music and style reflect her jazz, gospel, country, R&B, folk, and soul influences. She began singing and playing ukulele at age six with the help of her father and soon started performing at church. Influenced by artists such as Lauryn Hill, Eva Cassidy, Dolly Parton, Stevie Wonder, and Sarah Vaughan, her sound reflects a wide range of musical traditions. Recipient of the Oscar Peterson scholarship at York University, Elan studies jazz and gospel music while performing in Toronto with her band. Instagram

The plan will always feel like a mistake. Practice the mistake. 
A lecture on Antonio Banderas’ astrological chart, a chorus questioning their calling, and a long walk in a small mortal body. Jill Connell’s poetics work backward, interlacing Greek myth and the grindset, trying to figure out how we got here. The Herald navigates the choreography of labour as it asks us for faith and gives us something like meaning, or at least a new way of paying attention. By the end of the play, all of us will know how to be in Shoppers Drug Mart, wondering how to handle time, and what will happen to all the work we do not make.
The Herald is a play, but it's also a soundtrack, a costume drama, an art installation, and a movement piece. The show interrogates the value of work, how to be in community, and the desire to make meaning of our time on earth

The Wendy Babcock Drag Show proudly pays tribute to the life and advocacy of Wendy Babcock. As we celebrate the upcoming show, we encourage you to reflect upon Wendy’s legacy and how we can make space for others like her at Osgoode and beyond. Let us continue to honour Wendy’s legacy by diligently working to remove barriers for sex workers, our trans siblings, people experiencing homelessness, families separated by child welfare, and people in need of mental health supports.

Razzmatazz for Kids Live in the Green Sanderson Hall at Hugh's Room, 296 Broadview AvenueShow at 2pm, Doors at 1:30pm$20+ in advance, $27+at the door
Join the fun!  Award-winning duo Razzmatazz for Kids gets the audience singing, hopping, and laughing to their playful, interactive children's songs.  Combining music with comedy, Sandy Greenberg and Thomas Cormier spread joy to young audiences, entertaining both kids and their grown-ups. In the hilarious song “I Like Funny Noises”, the audience is mesmerized as Thomas transforms himself into silly versions of animals, and the kids imitate everything he does.  In the song, “Going to my Grandma’s”, which was aired on Sesame Street for six years, Sandy invites the audience to hug themselves or someone they love, inspired by her grandma’s hugs. The song “Hippity Hop” invites the kids to hop like bunnies, frogs, and kangaroos. With acoustic guitar and vocal harmonies, this show creates joy and builds feelings of connection and inclusion. The show’s finale includes all the kids being invited to join the train that chugs its way around the theatre.
Razzmatazz for Kids has won an East Coast Music Award and four Music Nova Scotia Awards.  Their tours have brought them to festivals, special events, and schools in Canada, the United States, France, and England. In Ottawa, Razzmatazz for Kids was invited to perform for students in the presence of the Prime Minister’s wife and the First Lady of the United States. Symphony Nova Scotia has welcomed Razzmatazz as a featured performer.  Sesame Street created a music video of their song Going to my Grandma’s. Razzmatazz has performed at folk and children’s festivals including the Stan Rogers Folk Festival and the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival in Nova Scotia.  They have performed at Ottawa Children’s Festival de la jeunesse, Stratford’s SpringWorks, Burlington’s Sound of Music Festival, and the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair.

The Fugitives are an acoustic folk-roots group headed by songwriters Adrian Glynn andBrendan McLeod. They’re joined by banjo player Chris Suen (Viper Central) and violinist CarlyFrey (The Coal Porters). Over their first five albums, they’ve amassed a JUNO nomination, 6CFMA nominations, and toured extensively through Canada, Europe, and the UK.Performance highlights include major Canadian folk festivals, a Glastonbury performance, and atour supporting Buffy Sainte-Marie. In 2020, the band created RIDGE, a WW1-centered theatreshow. Ridge has been performed at theatres across Canada and was named a Globe & MailTop Arts Pick of the Year. The band has earned a reputation for unforgettable live shows,brimming with complex harmonies, infectious storytelling, and top-notch musicianship.
