Description
This is a free, bi-weekly gathering for professionals and companies in Calgary’s tech and innovation ecosystem.
This series supports Calgary’s tech workforce advantage by connecting employer priorities with community learning, creating a cycle where events generate insights that inform future programming.
As part of this programming, there are bi-weekly events to showcase learnings in tech, roundtables among tech companies to identify key learning areas, and a report to share key findings.
This event is a collaboration among Calgary Economic Development, Careers in Technology and Innovation, Platform Calgary and the Government of Alberta's Labour Market Development Agreement (The Province of Alberta is working in partnership with the Government of Canada to provide employment support programs and services). As well as a collection of companies from Calgary’s Tech & Innovation Ecosystem.
Most organizations have started experimenting with AI.
The bigger challenge is turning individual experimentation into organizational capability.
How do you help teams adopt AI with confidence? How do you redesign workflows? How do you ensure people and AI can work together effectively? And what does leadership look like as AI becomes embedded in everyday operations?
At the next Tech Talent Tuesdays, we'll explore what it takes to build an AI-enabled organization. Through two different perspectives, we'll look at both the technology powering this shift and the leadership required to make it successful.
What we'll explore:
🔹 Designing workflows where people and AI work together
🔹 Building a culture that encourages responsible AI adoption
🔹 How agentic AI is changing operations and decision making
🔹 Governance, trust, and organizational readiness
🔹 Lessons from organizations implementing AI in the real world
🔹 The leadership skills needed to guide teams through AI transformation
You'll hear from:
🔹 Clark Lai, CEO, Motiv
Clark will introduce Opal, Motiv's newly launched enterprise agentic operations platform. He'll demonstrate how organizations can coordinate human teams and AI agents within shared workflows to improve execution, scale operations, and maintain enterprise governance.
🔹 Steven Pilz, CEO, Alethea
Steven has led technology transformation across multiple industries and now leads Alethea, a healthcare technology company improving access to specialist care. He'll share what it takes to build a culture where AI adoption succeeds, including leadership, change management, and the organizational practices that help teams embrace AI with confidence.
Whether you're a founder, executive, manager, or professional looking to understand how organizations are successfully integrating AI, you'll leave with practical ideas you can apply in your own workplace.
