Are you holding onto a golden ticket?

You’re invited to enter the magical and secretive factory of eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka for an evening of art, music, and performance. This night will channel the whimsy and wonder of the classic 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, by British author Roald Dahl.

What to expect

Guests can expect to enter a colourful kingdom of pure imagination with throwbacks to the original novel and subsequent films. Enjoy the sonic backdrop created by DJ Invizible, explore the different spaces (including our art exhibitions), sample the custom drink offerings, and find out if you might be among the lucky few, who are holding one of the “Golden Tickets.”

What to wear

Costumes and imaginative outfits are encouraged—we invite you to come in your candy-coated colourful best for this evening of fun. Other outfit ideas could be inspired by the eclectic cast of characters that inhabit Willy Wonka’s strange and magical world.

• and of course, eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka himself/herself with top-hat, over-sized bowtie, cane, and suit jacket with tails

Proceeds from this fundraising event support the ongoing work of the Kelowna Art Gallery, including our art exhibitions, public programming for children and adults, and arts educational offerings.
