Welcome to the CNPL Playoff Championships at The Club at Northfield, the Kitchener–Waterloo region's premier destination for racquet sports. Over three days in Waterloo, the Canadian National Pickleball League crowns its 2026 champion.
Seven national events, a coast-to-coast regular season and a full year of team pickleball come down to this weekend. Six teams remain. One will leave Northfield with the CNPL Championship.

Overview
New this season, here is how a CNPL championship weekend works. The top six teams from the 2026 regular season qualify for the playoffs. The top two seeds earn first-round byes. Every series is a best-of-three, and every match is decided by team play.
Three days, three rounds:

Wild Card Friday — Seed #3 vs. Seed #6 and Seed #4 vs. Seed #5, best-of-three, winners advance.
Semifinal Saturday — Seed #1 and Seed #2 enter, each facing a Friday survivor in a best-of-three series.
Championship Sunday — The two remaining teams meet for the CNPL Championship.

Within these teams are the heart and soul of our league: Canada's top professional pickleball players, alongside the international talent that has made the CNPL one of the most competitive team leagues in the sport. From seasoned veterans to rising stars, this is the deepest field the league has ever sent into a playoff weekend.
The Field
Five teams have already clinched their place in Waterloo:

London Smash (18–4) — the class of the 2026 regular season
Grand River Rapids (16–6) — playing on home soil in Waterloo Region
Toronto United Pickleball Club (16–6)
Montreal Lions (11–11) — the defending CNPL champions
Vancouver Owls (11–11)

The sixth and final playoff berth will be decided at the Season Finale in Burnaby, BC on August 29 & 30. Seeding for all six teams is confirmed once the Finale is complete.

Bracelets will be placed on the wrists at the entrance gates.
Ticket includes access to the Dodge RAM Rodeo and the Demolition Derby.
Alternatively, they can be picked up in advance between September 1–17, 2026, during office hours. Office hours are listed on our website at www.BinbrookFair.org. If you choose to pick up your bracelet in advance, you will be responsible for ensuring it is properly secured on the wrist before arriving at the fair. To ensure a proper fit, the bracelet should be snug around the wrist with no more than a 1/2 inch gap, ensuring it cannot slide off.
Please be aware that bracelets will become invalid if they are not properly worn on your wrist. The bracelet serves as your official pass for unlimited access to the fair, and any tampering with or removal of the bracelet will VOID it, resulting in a loss of re-entry for the remainder of the fair. It is essential to keep the bracelet securely on your wrist for the entire duration of the event.

The Ball’s Falls Thanksgiving Festival has been a Niagara tradition since 1974! 
Gather your family and friends and head to Ball’s Falls Conservation Area this Thanksgiving – there is something for everyone!
Shop from over 150 vendors in the bustling craft and artisan market, treat yourself to delicious foods, sample some of the best local craft beers and wines, and listen to amazing live music on the main stage. For the kids, there is endless entertainment and fun – including free face-painting and crafts, magic shows, and live bird-of-prey shows presented by the Canadian Raptor Conservancy. 
The whole family will enjoy exploring the 1800's heritage village, featuring one of Ontario’s oldest operating gristmills, and heading out on a guided nature hike to take in the bright fall foliage and check out Niagara's Escarpment geology with the Niagara Geopark.

Q: Are there accessible facilities?
A: Yes, the Milton Fairgrounds is wheelchair accessible! However, we are a fairground with many outside events and walkways are not paved.
 
Q: What is included with my gate admission?
A: Just about every attraction or activity is included in your gate admission. This includes Demolition Derbies, Truck and Tractor Pulls, Live Bands, Performers, Animal displays and shows, Livestock and Homecraft Exhibits and much more. Some activities are not included and must be paid to the provider.
 
Q: Where do we park?
A: Limited parking is onsite for a $10 fee. Please follow the volunteers’ directions.

In 2026, Reawakening returns with an engaging evening rich in sound, song, stories and community, featuring a three-part experience suitable for all generations.
The evening will begin with a community circle, where guests will be introduced to our hosts and the lands they will be learning on. From opening circle, guests will choose their path for part two of the evening, selecting between a 45-minute guided walk along the Sounds of the Forest Sonic Trail or an Every Child Matters beading workshop.

Curated and produced in 2024 by Michele-Elise Burnett, Sounds of the Forest is an immersive journey through the living landscape of Ball’s Falls, where Indigenous story, song and teachings are woven into the water, forest and land itself.
Beginning in gratitude, guests are invited to slow down, listen and walk differently. Following Twenty Mile Creek and entering the coolness of the Carolinian Forest, they will hear the voices of Elders, Knowledge Keepers, singers and artists while encountering the many relations who share this place: moss-covered Grandfather Rocks, Tree Nations, native plants, birds, pollinators and the waters that continue to shape the land.
A gratitude prayer grounds the journey. Creation stories invite us to pause beneath the forest canopy. At the Upper Falls, we are reminded that Water is Life, before music and teachings carry us back through the trees and toward the fire.
The trail creates space to step away from the noise of everyday life and listen deeply enough to discover that when the voices become quiet, the land is still speaking. Guests can tune in to the sonic trail through their smart phone device and headset, or listen to the projected sounds, shared by experienced interpreters.
From the trail, the journey returns to the fire, where story and music continue in another form.
 
The Beading Workshop will take place around the fire, with facilitators guiding guests through a take-home beaded craft, weaving Indigenous teachings into tangible art.
 
Following the guided walk and workshop, guests will gather in circle under the stars, next to the Twenty Mile Creek, to hear Stories the Land Remembers. The telling of the Huron-Wendat Creation Story, memory, and classical violin by firelight with Geneviève Gros-Louis. 
In the traditional circle of fire and story, Geneviève will share the Huron-Wendat Creation Story of Ya’ta’ Yätaentsic, Sky Woman, and the beginning of Turtle Island. From Creation, the story will move into the land beneath our feet and the waters beside us, sharing the Huron-Wendat story carried within the name of Lake Ontario, Ontari’io, and the enduring presence of the Huron-Wendat people, whose ancestors lived upon and travelled through these lands before displacement carried their communities elsewhere.
But this will not be storytelling in the way many of us expect, Geneviève’s violin becomes part of the story itself. Original compositions are woven between spoken words, memory and Creation, allowing the voice of the classical violin to rise from the firelight and carry the story in another form. At times gentle. At times powerful. At times holding what words alone cannot.
There is something extraordinary in that meeting, an ancient way of gathering around the fire, a classical instrument more often associated with the concert hall.
Huron-Wendat story, memory and contemporary composition coming together in one living experience. Not two worlds competing with one another, but two ways of expression meeting in relationship. Through story and music, Geneviève reminds us that Indigenous culture is not something held only in the past. It continues to move, adapt, create and speak across generations.
Around the fire, story and music will remind us that these lands still remember, and that when we listen deeply enough, the old stories continue to find their way home.
 Reawakening will offer an opportunity to reflect on Indigenous stories, songs, and histories, allowing us to consider the future and next seven generations, and the legacies that bind us to the Natural World, reminding us of the responsibilities and gifts we share.
 
About Geneviève Gros-Louis: 
Geneviève Gros-Louis is a Los Angeles–based composer, producer, and violinist from the Huron-Wendat Nation whose work bridges Indigenous tradition and contemporary sound. CBC spotlighted her as “the Wendat violinist weaving her culture into music for the masses,” a mission that runs through her work across film, television, concert halls, and stages worldwide. She has scored multiple seasons of National Geographic’s Emmy-winning Life Below Zero, Magnolia Pictures’ A Savage Art: The Life and Cartoons of Pat Oliphant (dir. Bill Banowsky), and the award-winning short film Courage (dir. Eric Michael Hernandez). Her recent film and television credits include OPB’s Guardian of the Land (dir. LaRonn Katchia) and Reclaim My Skin (dir. Marie Clements), Hallmark, and her original music has been featured on AMC Networks’ Dark Winds.
In 2025, she recorded her debut orchestral album at Abbey Road Studios in London with members of the London Symphony Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra for Audio Network, and premiered Ya’ta’ with Ensemble Urbain in Montréal, bringing the Wendat clay-creation story to life, including a custom wood-fired clay percussion instrument she helped create. A #GRAMMYsNextGen artist and member of the Recording and Television Academies, her collaborations include Nelly Furtado, John Densmore (The Doors), the Clooney Foundation for Justice, Dancing with the Stars, and Indigenous music icons Pura Fé (Ulali), Keith Secola, and Tony Duncan. Her music has been featured at Cannes Film Festival, Paris Fashion Week, Santa Fe Indian Market, and in museums and cultural showcases around the world.
At the heart of her work is storytelling through music, composing living narratives that carry memory, honour community, and connect audiences to the pulse of the people behind the story.

The Toronto-based Friends of Fiddler’s Green boast six versatile musicians, four fine singers, three songwriters, a brilliant joke teller, one Order of Canada recipient, one Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal recipient, and one of the longest track records in Canadian folk music. This totally uncategorizable collection has been together, with a few personnel changes, since their inauguration at Toronto's Fiddler's Green coffeehouse in 1971. Nobody, not even the Friends themselves, can predict what might happen during one of their concerts, but it always includes humour, powerful vocal harmony, great musicianship, social commentary and an irresistible urge to dance.
 
The Friends are Ian Bell, Alistair Brown, Grit Laskin, Jeff McClintock, Ian Robb and James Stephens. In 2003, the band received the Estelle Klein Award, given by the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals, for service to folk music in Ontario. Saturday September 26.

Brian Dickinson has been a fixture on the Canadian jazz scene for over thirty-five years. He has performed internationally with artists including Lee Konitz, Jerry Bergonzi,  Michael and Randy Brecker, Pat LaBarbera, Kirk MacDonald, Kenny Wheeler and John Abercrombie. He is a multiple JUNO award winner. As a sideman, he has played on over eighty recordings. For the past two years, he has been an active member of the Canadian Jazz Collective, touring and recording in Europe and North America.
The Penderecki String Quartet, approaching the third decade of an extraordinary career, has become one of the most celebrated chamber ensembles of their generation. These four musicians from Poland, Canada and the USA bring their varied yet collective experience to create performances that demonstrate their “remarkable range of technical excellence and emotional sweep” (Globe and Mail). Their recent schedule has included concerts in New York (Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall), Amsterdam (Concertgebouw), Los Angeles (REDCAT at Disney Hall), St. Petersburg, Paris, Prague, Berlin, Rome, Belgrade, Zagreb, and Atlanta, as well as appearances at international festivals in Poland, Lithuania, Italy, Venezuela, Brazil and China. Sara Maria is a dynamic Toronto-based artist who brings an upbeat energy, blending pop with other genres. Known for her catchy melodies and energetic live performances, Sara has performed at venues across Toronto, including Burdock Music Hall, the Junction City Music Hall, Linsmore Tavern, Harmony Café, and Smokeshow BBQ & Brew.In 2024, Sara released her debut single Fallin’ in collaboration with EDM artist Nadia Plumb. Skye Wallace and Flora Falls

Clever Hopes is the songwriting project of Halifax–based artist Andrew Shaver. Across three albums (two produced by Matthew Barber), he has built a national presence, with ten songs added to SiriusXM rotation, including a French-language single that has remained in rotation since 2022. Clever Hopes + Rebekah Hawker + Matthew Barber

An intimate night of music featuring Toronto indie bands Hew Hue and Audrey Mae.New Hue is the artistic project of the 25-year-old multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter Jakob Russell. He blends elements of bedroom pop and indie music to create an optimistic and relaxing sound. He spends his musical time sitting in the comfort of his bedroom, writing and recording his music. He released his first EP titled "Letters From a Loved One" at the start of 2024. He wrote, played all the instruments, except the drums, and recorded everything at home. Since then, he has been inspired to continue writing and recording music, his own music.

Dynesti (she/her)
Toronto songwriter, singer, rapper, dancer, and powerhouse performer Dynesti can transform any space with a potent mix of raw honesty, life lessons, humour, and collective participation. Blending neo-soul and conscious hip-hop with splashes of reggae, dancehall and afrofusion, her infectious vibe motivates people to unleash their authentic selves through bold expression. She rose from the shelter system and programs like SKETCH Working Arts, RISE Edutainment, The Remix Project, and Honey Jam to share stages with stars like Sean Paul and Talib Kweli. Her gutsy 2027 album ‘The Dyna: Breakfast’ speaks on womanhood, community, wellness, love, and relationships as a Black girl from a broken home. 
J3M (he/him)
J3M combines pop, disco, and soul into an infectious sound that will stay with you long after the show is over. A singer, songwriter, producer, instrumentalist and uplifting performer, he was a 3rd Prize Winner in Canada’s Walk of Fame 2023 RBC Emerging Musician Program and has appeared at Pride festivals nationwide, Casa Loma, River & Sky Festival, and much more. He’s a 2026 Capital Music Award nominee and has been featured on JUNO- and Polaris-nominated releases as a keyboardist. J3M has shared stages with artists including Jully Black and Cyndi Lauper, and backed artists such as Yukon Blonde, Tanika Charles, Zaki Ibrahim, Lu Kala, and The OBGMs across Canada and internationally. His latest single ‘Love Addict’ is available everywhere.
Grace Marr (she/her)
Grace Marr, is a Canadian powerhouse vocalist and multi-genre songwriter with a knack for weaving depth into pop hooks, gospel-inspired harmonies, and a gritty demeanour. Already achieving notoriety for her independently-released debut album, ‘Saving Grace’ (Top 5 Canadian Christian Radio CANCON, Spotify Editorial Playlists), Grace can be seen on stages such as RBC Bluesfest Emerging Showcase, Breakfast Television, and singing the anthem for WNBA Toronto Tempo games. As a Queer singer-songwriter and avid sports fan, Marr recently nodded to women's achievement in sports and her hockey crush in her Toronto Sceptres-inspired single, ‘Take A Shot On Me’. 
Folke (they/them)
Folke is a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, violin, viola, cello, harp, saxophone) and intuitive composer born in New Jersey and based for many years in Canada. They bring folk & soul roots with a melody of strings that move like wind; gentle, directional, and impossible to ignore. The storytelling grit of Tracy Chapman combines with the structural precision of Bach into a sound that feels both timeless and restless. Already a fixture in Toronto's experimental and folk-adjacent scenes, they are building a catalog that bridges folk intimacy with soulful expansiveness and recording a debut solo album.
Nefe (they/them)
Enshrined within Nefe’s rock and soul sensibilities you find an artist who is equal parts songwriting oracle and vocal magician. Masterfully in control of their sonant undulations, combined with lyrical rawness, their songs lure listeners into a journey through a rich musical tapestry built upon the frame of alternative soul and R&B.

Mother Country is here to chronicle the eternal journey home.
Their songs carry the grit of Southern folk, the sweep of Americana, and the reflective depth of someone who’s lived a thousand miles of road. The sound pulls from a wide range of roots: the storytelling of The Band, the cinematic scope of Iron & Wine, the exploratory edge of cosmic country.
The band is founded by Benton Roark, whose songs have been described as “backwoods-choir elegance” (The Georgia Straight) and “an experience of deep and darkling beauty” (The Austin Chronicle). Since leaving his hometown of Atlanta, GA (where early efforts dubbed him “a crafty folk-experimentalist,” Creative Loafing), Roark has called Ohio, NYC, Vancouver, St. John’s, Newfoundland, and Toronto home. He’s been a bandleader for a number of groups, the last of which was Rollaway, whose last two records - Modern Epic and The Return of the Lonesome Coyote Patchwork Pulpit (“tone poems in the style of My Morning Jacket,” Maverick Magazine) set the scene for Mother Country’s inception.
Taking up the Americana and Southern gothic mantle, and weaving it with the distinct threads of old time, bluegrass, and trad folk music, as well as the visionary poetry of Maritimes poet Luke Hathaway, Mother Country set out in late 2024 with its debut record, The Sign of Jonas (Milltown Records). An apocalypse folk-tale and concept album, the Jonas song cycle has been presented by English Harbour Arts, 10C Guelph, Camber Arts, Bannerman Brewing, and Halifax Central Library, and spent a number of weeks in the top ten Earshot radio charts in its first few months of existence.
Kat McLevey is a queer and trans nonbinary singer-songwriter, bassist, and music educator based in Toronto. Originally from St. John’s, NL, they have performed and recorded with artists including Donovan Woods, Abigail Lapell, Leith Ross, and Tim Baker. A Berklee College of Music graduate and award-winning songwriter, McLevey’s current work centres queerness, community, and storytelling. Thursday September 24.

Sheenah Ko is an Irish-Chinese producer, keyboardist and songwriter. Scarborough-born, she now resides in the Saguenay region of Québec (also the homeplace of Angine de Poitrine). With over a decade of international touring experience as a keyboardist, she has performed on major stages with bands such as The Besnard Lakes, Bedouin Soundclash, and Barenaked Ladies' Kevin Hearn. Since 2020, Ko has been producing and releasing her own work, unveiling 3 studio albums that weave together analog synthesizers, ethereal vocals, and refined electronic production to create immersive and emotive atmospheric electronic pop songs. Her debut album, Nowhere In Time (2020), quickly caught the attention of the music scene, reaching the top 10 of Canadian campus electronic radio charts. Future Is Now (2022) earned her further recognition with several award nominations and the prize for Best Pop Album at the 2023 GAMIQ (Gala Alternatif de la Musique Indépendante du Québec) Awards.In September 2024, Sheenah Ko unveiled Transformation, a bilingual French-English album co-produced with Félix Petit (Hubert Lenoir). The record builds on her previous achievements by boldly fusing acoustic and electronic elements. Transformation transcends genres, exploring deep and intimate themes while inviting listeners to let go and embrace the unknown. The project reflects both her artistic maturity and her constant drive to push the boundaries of contemporary music production.Live, Transformation is an immersive and highly engaging live experience where electronic, pop, rock and jazz meet. Driven by improvisation and the audience’s energy, each performance becomes a vibrant celebration of connection and dance.
