 Unleash your creativity and curiosity in our Introductory Taxidermy Class! Designed for beginners, this hands-on course offers a fascinating glimpse into the art and science of taxidermy.
Class begins promptly at 10am and ends at 4pm.
We provide each student with either a skinned, cleaned, and tanned racoon, opossum, or rat hide depending on the workshop you are taking.
The first half of class is focused on preparing your form, setting the eyes, test fitting and mounting the hide, as well as grooming.
After our first 30-minute break class shifts towards plaque preparation and mounting your project.
The class runs for approximately 6 hours with two 30-minute breaks throughout the day.

Sunset Moths Entomology Class $150USD Unlock the artistry of entomology in our Introductory Bug Pinning Workshop! This hands-on experience is perfect for nature enthusiasts, aspiring entomologists, or anyone interested in the intricate craft of insect preservation. Join us as we guide you through the techniques of preparing and pining insects, transforming them into beautiful, display-ready specimens.
The AM class will begin promptly at 10am and last 2.5 hours.
You will learn the foundational skills of bug pinning, including safe collection methods, proper handling, and the step-by-step process of pinning and mounting your specimen.
Class exclusive!: Two specimens for the price of one!
Your first specimen will be a moth or butterfly that will be used to practice your newly learned pinning technique. Once you’ve completed this step we will move on to creating your unique frame and placing your Sunset Moth in its display case.
We will familiarize you with the tools of the trade, pinning supplies, insect boxes, and preservation techniques. We’ll provide all necessary materials for your workshop experience. Raoul and The Big Time is one of the most highly regarded and awarded blues acts in Canada. The Big Time features Darren Gallen on guitar, Justine Fischer on upright bass, Tom Bona on drums, Jesse Whiteley on keys with Pat Carey on tenor, Alison Young on sax and Jake Wilkinson on trumpet. Discoveries Vol.9 with Musical Host Derek Downham

Multi instrumentalist Marco Cera studied at the Padua Conservatory of Music (Italy) and at the Musikhochschule der Stadt Basel (Switzerland). In 1996 he was chosen as first oboe for the European Union Baroque Orchestra, and from that moment Marco has persuaded an international career as an oboist with the most renowned groups in Europe and North America. His wide discography includes works for Teldec, Opus 111, Chandos, Dynamic, Tactus. Marco moved from Italy to Toronto to play with Tafelmusik in January 2007.The pandemic inspired Marco to create a YouTube channel where he shares videos of unusual repertoire on the baroque oboe and a range of different instruments : arranging, video recording, and editing everything by himself. For Tafelmusik Marco created two multimedia shows: The Harlequin Salon in 2018, and Music & Magic in fall 2021.Marco , aka Mr Speedy Wax is proud to start the new adventure with his new Cinecitta’ project, joined by the finest performers in Toronto.

This immersive theatre experience lets audiences see what happens behind the glowing light, as they enter a live 1940’s radio studio broadcast!
Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), this production entertains with a riveting blend of live radio theatre, music, and storytelling.
Let us take you back to the golden age of radio, as five talented actors portray over thirty RCAF heroes, complete with live sound effects and music. Hosted by two-time Juno Award nominee and CRMA winner Jason Wilson, this is more than a tribute; it’s a celebration of Canadian courage brought to life through powerful storytelling.

With the smooth warmth of a jazz crooner and the dramatic flair of an opera singer, Marcus Nance invites you into a genre-blending cabaret that celebrates the full range of the modern voice. A Velvet Mosaic weaves together jazz standards, soulful spirituals, musical-theatre gems, contemporary songs, and operatic colour in a vibrant exploration of musical, cultural, and personal horizons.
Marcus Nance is an acclaimed singing actor whose artistry has earned him some of the country’s highest honours. A two-time Dora Award recipient and winner of both the Toronto Critics’ Award and My Entertainment World’s “Performer of the Year,” he is also a celebrated JUNO nominee. Across twelve seasons at the Stratford Festival—including his lauded portrayal of the Creature in Frankenstein Revived—two seasons at the Shaw Festival and in unforgettable appearances on Broadway in La Bohème and Jesus Christ Superstar, Marcus has carved a reputation for performances that ignite the stage. Recently, he electrified Toronto audiences in A Strange Loop and Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 and he continues to shape the next generation of storytellers through his teaching at Wilfrid Laurier University and Sheridan College.

Synopsis:
Lila (late 20s) finds herself back in Toronto for a conference. She tells us about all the reasons she’s not happy to be back but the truth is it’s not the city she’s anxious about. It’s one person. Her mom: Ana. Harlow's Rhesus Monkey explores difficult questions around childhood sexual trauma and parent-child enmeshment and questions the societal norms that push women into unsafe situations. This memory play hinges on Lila’s ability to self-evaluate her needs and wants to make difficult decisions for herself.

Discover the treasures of North America’s inspiring, charming and surprising shoe museum.
Located in Toronto, the Bata Shoe Museum (BSM) regularly displays over a thousand shoes and related artefacts, chosen from a collection of almost 14,000 objects, in architect Raymond Moriyama’s iconic, award-winning building. The BSM celebrates the style, development and function of footwear across four impressive galleries, with displays ranging from Chinese bound-foot shoes and ancient Egyptian sandals to chestnut-crushing clogs and glamorous platforms.

Toronto’s T4T rave haven is hatching from its ovomorph and making its long-awaited return this February with an extraterrestrial entropy of light and sound. Metamorphosis invites you to usher in a new eon in a brand new venue! The mothership will be touching down at Buddies in Bad Times, transforming the cabaret into a Gigerian trip.

Hectik and Nolly will be stepping up to the Metamorphosis decks for the very first time with psychedelic musical stylings alongside Mission Control and an epic B2B from Rata and Zellers. Prepare to be abducted and taken far, far away!
 
This is a party for trans people first. Allies are welcome, so long as you’re an ALLY, and not just a tolerator. All attendees are implored to challenge earthy conventions, and discover who they would be in a post-gender, post-human world.

Let The Elephants Dance was created in 2016 to help support Mental Health Awareness, Action, & Education. We strive to create safer spaces and a stigma-free environment. Our goal is to demonstrate hope for the daily battle for those who struggle with their mental health, to call-in and stand strong against the immeasurable injustices that affect mental health - especially marginalized communities, and provide resources whenever possible to those in need. Over the years we have brought artists together to showcase their work and tell their stories. At Let The Elephants Dance, we aspire to provide as much encouragement, safety and support, and love as possible.This Fundraising Gala will be marking our 10 year journey as Let The Elephants Dance. We are lucky to be making this event possible at 918 Bathurst Centre for Culture, Arts, Media & Education. However, it became something so special and has shaped me in ways I never knew were possible. In September 2015, my beautiful cousin Laura died by suicide and this entire movement began in her memory. Her laugh, her smile, her generous soul is in every piece of Let The Elephants Dance. This would not exist without Laura, and I would not be who I am today without Laura. I love you, and I miss you every day.After 10 years, I am incredibly grateful for all the beautiful humans that I have crossed paths with either on stage, backstage, in the audience, as a donor, through our Podcast "Moving Beyond Stigma", or dance program "Movement Heals". Every moment, every person has left a mark. Thank you to each and everyone of you, and thank you for choosing to spend another evening together.
