You'll find items such as: taxidermy, preserved specimens, original artwork, horror/halloween inspired pieces, antiques, handcrafted oddities, quack medical devices, creepy clothing, odd jewelry, skulls/bones, funeral collectibles & much more. We truly have something weird for everyone at our shows. All items you see at our shows are legal to own and sustainably sourced. Outside of our curated vendors, we host sideshow performers on stage all throughout the day and the opportunity to learn the craft of taxidermy with classes available during the expo.  The O&C Expo provides a safe place for anyone to come and discover new artists, meet new friends and be surrounded by an amazing community of like-minded people.  Unleash your creativity and curiosity in our Introductory Taxidermy Class! Designed for beginners, this hands-on course offers a fascinating glimpse into the art and science of taxidermy.
Class begins promptly at 10am and ends at 4pm.
We provide each student with either a skinned, cleaned, and tanned racoon, opossum, or rat hide depending on the workshop you are taking.
The first half of class is focused on preparing your form, setting the eyes, test fitting and mounting the hide, as well as grooming.
After our first 30-minute break class shifts towards plaque preparation and mounting your project.
The class runs for approximately 6 hours with two 30-minute breaks throughout the day.

This class is packaged into a very manageable 2.5-hours of learning and hands on taxidermy. The first half of class is focused on fixing your eyes, mounting your hide onto your form, and grooming. The final half of class is focused on preparing your coffin style plaque where your ratalope will be mounted for display.

Sunset Moths Entomology Class $150USD Unlock the artistry of entomology in our Introductory Bug Pinning Workshop! This hands-on experience is perfect for nature enthusiasts, aspiring entomologists, or anyone interested in the intricate craft of insect preservation. Join us as we guide you through the techniques of preparing and pining insects, transforming them into beautiful, display-ready specimens.
The AM class will begin promptly at 10am and last 2.5 hours.
You will learn the foundational skills of bug pinning, including safe collection methods, proper handling, and the step-by-step process of pinning and mounting your specimen.
Class exclusive!: Two specimens for the price of one!
Your first specimen will be a moth or butterfly that will be used to practice your newly learned pinning technique. Once you’ve completed this step we will move on to creating your unique frame and placing your Sunset Moth in its display case.
We will familiarize you with the tools of the trade, pinning supplies, insect boxes, and preservation techniques. We’ll provide all necessary materials for your workshop experience. Octopus & Tentacle Globe Wet Specimen Class

 Immerse yourself in the intriguing world of biological preservation with our Wet Specimen Preservation Workshop! This hands-on class is designed for students, artists, and science enthusiasts eager to explore the techniques of preserving specimens in liquid mediums. Discover how to create striking wet specimens that showcase the beauty and complexity of the natural world.
This class begins promptly at 10am and lasts approximately 2.5 hours.
The first half of class you will be given a short lecture on how to prepare and preserve your own specimen. We’ll cover cleaning, fixing, and storing, ensuring you gain confidence in each step of the process.
In the second half of class you will get hands on and inject a palm sized octopus that you can take home and display.  Additionally, you will receive a preserved specimen (large tentacle) and place it in a globe of liquid medium
You will also learn the safety protocols for working with preservation chemicals and handling biological materials, ensuring a safe and responsible workshop environment.

Seating at the UTRGV Natatorium is all general admission, and a digital ticket is required for entrance. To receive your digital ticket for the meet of your choice, you will need to sign up for a soccer pass. Once you have signed up for your swim & dive pass, you will receive an email that includes your digital tickets to all of the regular season UTRGV women's swim & dive meets for the 2025-2026 season! Simply show the digital ticket for the meet of your choice to a UTRGV staff member at the gate to be scanned for entrance.

The Ballet Folklórico is a thirty-two member organization comprised of students who are pursing degrees in a variety of disciplines. The Ballet presents student and public concerts annually and travels to present programs for local, state, national, and international private and public affairs. The Ballet has jointly produced ballets, concerts, zarzuelas, and musicals with the Valley Symphony Orchestra, the UTRGV Theatre, and the UTRGV Music Department.

In February of 1974 Asleep at the Wheel made the move from the Bay Area to Austin, Texas. After playing the Armadillo World Headquarters with Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen in 1973 – and receiving encouragement from Willie Nelson and Doug Sahm to relocate – the band settled in and made Austin their home, where they remain 50 years later.
“Austin was and has been everything I could have ever wished for and more,” says Ray Benson, the band’s leader and only original member. “It’s been 55 years for AATW as a band, and 50 of them have been spent in Texas. We are known worldwide for being a Texas band and playing Texas and Western Swing music. It brings us great pride to carry this torch and responsibility. We don’t take it lightly!”

 Unleash your creativity and curiosity in our Introductory Taxidermy Class! Designed for beginners, this hands-on course offers a fascinating glimpse into the art and science of taxidermy.
Class begins promptly at 10am and ends at 4pm.
We provide each student with either a skinned, cleaned, and tanned racoon, opossum, or rat hide depending on the workshop you are taking.
The first half of class is focused on preparing your form, setting the eyes, test fitting and mounting the hide, as well as grooming.
After our first 30-minute break class shifts towards plaque preparation and mounting your project.

Ballet Español provides students the opportunity to study the art of Spanish dance which encompasses a great range of styles such as bailes folkloricos representing different regions of Spain; flamenco, the art of the gypsies of Spain and its "palos" such as Alegrias, Tangos, Solea, Bulerias, Siguiriyas; and Escuela Bolera, a style of classical dance and music from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries where classical ballet principles of turnout combine typical Spanish arm movements, with castanets, and flamenco footwork and folkloric steps, to create classical Spanish dance works like "La Boda de Luis Alonso". The Ballet Español presents formal public concerts and school concerts every spring and smaller events on campus and for the community throughout the year. 
Join us for a stunning display of Spanish dancing performed by UTRGV Ballet Espanol as well as live singing and music by Chayito Champion, vocalist and Steve Arispe on guitar!

Ballet Español ofrece a los estudiantes la oportunidad de estudiar el arte de la danza española que abarca una gran variedad de estilos, como bailes folklóricos que representan diferentes regiones de España; el flamenco, el arte de los gitanos de España y sus palos como Alegrías, Tangos, Solea, Bulerias, Siguiriyas; y Escuela Bolera, un estilo de danza clásica y música de los siglos XVIII y XIX donde los principios del ballet clásico de participación combinan los típicos movimientos de brazos españoles, con castañuelas, y juego de pies flamenco y pasos folclóricos, para crear obras de danza clásica española como "La Boda de Luis Alonso". El Ballet Español presenta conciertos públicos formales y conciertos escolares cada primavera y eventos más pequeños en el campus y para la comunidad durante todo el año.
