Come From Away is the beloved, critically acclaimed musical by Canadian husband and wife team Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and is based on the true story when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover, when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.
The show earned global success most notably winning Best New Musical at the 2019 Olivier Awards and Outstanding Musical at the 2017 Drama Desk Awards. At the 71st Tony Awards in 2017, it was nominated for seven awards, including Best Musical, Best Original Score, Best Book of a Musical and Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Jenn Colella, winning for Best Direction of a Musical for Christopher Ashley. The show’s global presence resonates across all audiences as an uplifting reminder of humanity’s ability to come together, no matter what the circumstances.

We are excited to host you once again in the beautiful boreal forest for the 35th annual Ness Creek Music Festival July 15-18 2027. As always, we strive to bring you the best of Saskatchewan, Canadian and global musicians. Join us for a wide variety of workshops and community gatherings in our many programming venues throughout the site. We have something for everyone!
Pre-Sale tickets are now available! This price is $210 (plus taxes and fees).

18 and under must be accompanied by a guardian who will be responsible for them for the duration of the event. Limit of 4 underage individuals per adult.
If your camper unit is OVER 20' in length, then you are required to purchase a camper pass in the field of your choosing.

Please download your ticket QR code BEFORE arriving to the festival site. There is limited to no cell phone service on site to access your tickets upon arrival at the front gate.
Vehicles are assigned to campgrounds upon purchase. Upon entry, your vehicle will be marked with the chosen field you purchased. You will NOT be allowed to change fields once inside the festival gates.

Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida are one of Canada’s most influential cultural couples.
Kreviazuk made her critically acclaimed full-length debut, Under These Rocks and Stones, in 1997. Sincethen, the Winnipeg born singer-songwriter has been granted three JUNO Awards and a Grammy Award.In total, she has recorded ten albums, including a live album and a holiday album. Simultaneously, Maidaforged a dynamic career as a solo artist in addition to being the front man for the band, Our Lady Peace –also a four-me JUNO Award winner, including Rock Album of the Year in 2003 (Gravity) and 1998(Clumsy).
The pair have also co-written hits for artists such as Kelly Clarkson, David Cook, and Carrie Underwood &Chantal individually has songs with Drake, Kendrick Lamar & Gwen Stefani.
While Kreviazuk and Maida are quick to lend their time to the studio and stage, they are equallycommitted to lending their help to those in need. Where It All Began...
In 2022 before heading on a 4 month trip to Nashville, the country capital of the world, Cooper Tropeau and his band “The Broken Bones” organized one last show for the Summer, to be hosted at the Tropeau acreage just outside of Saskatoon. It was a last minute event and was announced only 2 weeks before taking place. The event, titled “Coopalooza”, was marketed as a bring your own beverage concert and afterparty, a way to end of the concert season of 2022 on a high note! That night they were hoping to have 100 people in attendance, especially with rain on and off throughout the day. What happened that night was a surprise to the band and everyone involved in hosting. There were close to 400 people that showed up for the night of live music and great times with friends and family alike! The event turned out to be a huge success, so it only made sense to keep Coopalooza going in the years to come.
Coopalooza is meant to be a celebration of not only live music but also the atmosphere of Saskatchewan and friendships fostered throughout the years. It is a good old boot stomping’ acreage party where you can have fun, let loose, and make some memories for years to come. Coopalooza is a break from endless bar lines and $12 drinks. It’s about enjoying the simple things like good music, a cold beer, and the party of the summer with a great crowd!

Over the past few years, Fraya has been writing and selling original music to bigger artists across the US and UK, steadily building recognition within the industry while building her own style as an artist and songwriter.
Before making the move to Music City at the end of August, Fraya is playing one massive hometown send-off show live at Coors Event Centre.

Originally from Saskatchewan and now based in Southern Ontario, The Deep Dark Woods take up a deep tradition of forlorn storytelling, drawing lines from Celtic folksongs to country blues, John Fahey to Shirley Collins. Lush and devastating, Boldt’s gothic surrealism is stark in detail and full of emotion, a murder balladeer for our time.
One might be tempted to think of the Deep Dark Woods as a band steeped in capital-T tradition, and that may be true, but now nearly two decades into their life as one of Canada’s finest folk-roots ensembles, that tradition is one of their own invention. The voice of founding member Ryan Boldt sits at the forefront of the band, and it doesn’t take long to reveal that he is a master of subtlety and shading, working in the lineage of iconic singers like Bob Dylan, Bert Jansch, Rick Danko, and Jason Molina.
Boldt, a relentless lifelong listener of music, says “It’s all I do. When I’m not playing music, I’m listening to it, trying to find songs that make me feel an aching pain in my chest.” Accordingly, his singing is full of highly emotive nuance and an elegant, relaxed precision that makes it seem downright effortless, a perfect vehicle for the band’s particular brand of updated folk music. Fellow travellers like keyboard whiz Geoff Hilhorst, veteran drummer Mike Silverman, and Evan Cheadle round out the Deep Dark Woods unit, and they are often assisted by like-minded collaborators such as singer-songwriter Ellen Froese, Erik Nielsen, Leon Power, and the acclaimed duo Kacy & Clayton. This crew creates a powerful combination and has amassed a pile of celebrated albums, EPs, and a host of nominations from music awards outfits from across the country. Together they recall classic units like The Band, mid-period Wilco, and American Beauty-era Grateful Dead, but also legendary late ’60s UK groups like Fairport Convention, Pentangle, and Steeleye Span.

Based in the rustic Kootenay mountains of Western Canada, Nathan Gurley and Sean Rodman of nationally renowned electro-folk duo Moontricks draw inspiration from the ongoing cycles of the natural world. Both volatile and constant—like nature’s best offerings—the band finds solace and beauty in the fusion of seemingly disparate elements.
There’s a kind of technicolor campfire quality to their uniquely hybrid sound: Each track is steeped in tradition and polished with a futuristic sheen, mixing organic folk, roots rock, and old-time blues with modern electronic production. Since its initial release, the band’s breakout hit “Home” has reached over 10 million streams, and their original tracks have been licensed for a wide range of television networks, including Netflix and Fox Sports.
With the release of their debut full-length album Currents via Westwood Recordings, the duo reveals an ever-evolving, cohesive blend of introspective writing, soulful, gritty blues, boot-stomping basslines, and intricate electronic arrangements.
