Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida are one of Canada’s most influential cultural couples.
Kreviazuk made her critically acclaimed full-length debut, Under These Rocks and Stones, in 1997. Sincethen, the Winnipeg born singer-songwriter has been granted three JUNO Awards and a Grammy Award.In total, she has recorded ten albums, including a live album and a holiday album. Simultaneously, Maidaforged a dynamic career as a solo artist in addition to being the front man for the band, Our Lady Peace –also a four-me JUNO Award winner, including Rock Album of the Year in 2003 (Gravity) and 1998(Clumsy).
The pair have also co-written hits for artists such as Kelly Clarkson, David Cook, and Carrie Underwood &Chantal individually has songs with Drake, Kendrick Lamar & Gwen Stefani.
While Kreviazuk and Maida are quick to lend their time to the studio and stage, they are equallycommitted to lending their help to those in need. The couple were awarded the Order of Canada fortheir efforts to raise awareness and support for human and animal rights, mental health, education, andthe environment.
Their collaborative album, I’m Going to Break Your Heart, was released with an accompanyingdocumentary – capturing the couple's personal struggles and musical journey – all to inspire ageneration of a cycle-breaking and hope for a more peaceful future.

Donny Parenteau, a Prince Albert Arts Hall of Fame inductee, 2026 Saskatchewan Award of Merit and 3-time Juno nominee, guides audiences through the roots of Métis fiddle music, featuring Metis artists, fiddle and jigging, leading up to a performance by Donny with special guests who have not shared the stage together since 1991.

Spanning generations and crossing the boundaries of genres, this cast is united by a common bond- the music itself, the world it brings together, and the unforgettable songs it inspires. With deep respect and reverence for The Band, their spirit, and the era they embodied, this homegrown, world-class lineup brings the songs of The Band to life with authenticity, passion, and their own Canadian artistry.

Originally from Saskatchewan and now based in Southern Ontario, The Deep Dark Woods take up a deep tradition of forlorn storytelling, drawing lines from Celtic folksongs to country blues, John Fahey to Shirley Collins. Lush and devastating, Boldt’s gothic surrealism is stark in detail and full of emotion, a murder balladeer for our time.
One might be tempted to think of the Deep Dark Woods as a band steeped in capital-T tradition, and that may be true, but now nearly two decades into their life as one of Canada’s finest folk-roots ensembles, that tradition is one of their own invention. The voice of founding member Ryan Boldt sits at the forefront of the band, and it doesn’t take long to reveal that he is a master of subtlety and shading, working in the lineage of iconic singers like Bob Dylan, Bert Jansch, Rick Danko, and Jason Molina.
Boldt, a relentless lifelong listener of music, says “It’s all I do. When I’m not playing music, I’m listening to it, trying to find songs that make me feel an aching pain in my chest.” Accordingly, his singing is full of highly emotive nuance and an elegant, relaxed precision that makes it seem downright effortless, a perfect vehicle for the band’s particular brand of updated folk music. Fellow travellers like keyboard whiz Geoff Hilhorst, veteran drummer Mike Silverman, and Evan Cheadle round out the Deep Dark Woods unit, and they are often assisted by like-minded collaborators such as singer-songwriter Ellen Froese, Erik Nielsen, Leon Power, and the acclaimed duo Kacy & Clayton. Banastronaut is a four-piece alt rock outfit from Saskatoon, SK. Formed in 2021 by old friends, the band focuses their live shows and written music on taking their audience to a place where they can let loose and sing their hearts out.

OPEN MIC NIGHT | ALL AGES

If you know Ryan Meili, it’s probably as a Saskatchewan family doctor, author and former political leader. Now he’s gone and made a folk-rock album with some of the best musicians in the province: Sam Corbett (NUTANA formerly The Sheepdogs) Tyson McShane (Slow Down Molasses), Luke Ryalls (the Fjords) and Burke Barlow (formerly Deep Dark Woods).
 
Blue Umbrella’s debut album, Recklessly Yours, was produced by Corbett and recorded with Barrett Ross at Rec Hall Studios in Saskatoon. The record features guest vocals from Ellen Froese and Lachlan Neville.
 
The band name comes from a 1975 John Prine song, a nod to Meili's influences and to the tradition the album inhabits: folk-rock Canadiana, with clever and introspective lyrics and arrangements that move from sweet and simple acoustic to hooky, driving rock. A friend described Blue Umbrella as a Saskatchewan-famous dad rock supergroup. All the regular members are busy dads, which means juggling kid life makes scheduling rehearsals a challenge. It also means these well-known artists bring a maturity and depth of talent to the work, making this debut album feel like the work of an established team.

With a guitar slung over his shoulder and the amps turned up full tilt, Anthony Gomes electrifies blues and rock at a 21st century crossroads of his own. The Canadian vocalist, guitarist, songwriter and producer wails with all the force of a hurricane in the Mississippi Delta and enough fret-burning fireworks to leave his strings in flames. Over the years, he’s toppled the Billboard Blues Chart at #1, earned the endorsement of legends such as B.B. King, tallied tens of millions of streams, and packed shows on multiple continents. In April 2025, Anthony Gomes is back with his much-anticipated 14th studio album, Praise the Loud, set for release on Rat Pak Records.
“I’ve learned how to embrace my voice as a guitarist and as a singer,” he states. “I understand who I am, and I use my strengths to my advantage. I have a blues soul and a rock ‘n’ roll heart. I love to jump back and forth between both with a modern day approach. When I play rock, it’s got a little more dust on it."
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, he fell in love with music as a kid, listening to everyone from Muddy Waters and Jimi Hendrix to Jeff Beck and Eddie Van Halen. At 14 years old, Anthony gravitated to the guitar and his relationship with the instrument was born. After grinding it out, his chops caught the attention of B.B. King’s bus driver at a jam night. Blown away, the driver introduced him to B.B. who invited him to open up a string of tour dates in 2005. Gaining invaluable knowledge from “The King,” he went on to share the stage with the likes of Buddy Guy, Robert Plant, Joe Bonamassa, Heart, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and more. Along the way, his concert attendees have included Academy® Award winner Morgan Freeman, John Goodman, and Vince Vaughn as well as Eric Clapton, to name a few.

John Muirhead Bio: 
John Muirhead is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter crafting big-hearted indie-folk songs for dreamers, wanderers, and hopeless romantics. From fingerpicked confessionals to foot stomping, full-band singalongs, John’s award-winning songs have connected with listeners from all around the world. With over 150K followers across social media, 5 million+ streams, and 8.5 million+ TikTok views, John is building a vibrant community rooted in story, sincerity,and connection.
John has toured extensively across Canada and Europe, recently completing a 37-date SOLD OUT tour of Canada in support of his new album The Nomad. John has appeared at festivalslike Winnipeg Folk Festival, CityFolk, Burlington Sound of Music, and Sawdust City Music Festival, and has provided support for some of Canada’s top acts, including Glass Tiger, Whitehorse, Joel Plaskett Emergency, and Craig Cardiff.
John’s new album The Nomad, produced by JUNO Award-winning producer Ryan Worsley, has amassed over 1.1M streams and features collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Simon Ward (The Strumbellas), Michigander, Jon Bryant, and many more. Capturing John at his most vulnerable and expressive, songs from The Nomad have received extensive play on Canadian alternative radio, SiriusXM North Americana, and CBC, as well as adds on Spotify’s “Folk & Friends”, and “Highway One”, Apple Music’s “New In Americana”, and Amazon Music’s “Canada Now” and “Acoustic Chill” playlists.
With a new album arriving in July 2026 and a spring tour across Germany and the UK, John continues his journey outward, carrying songs born in quiet rooms to stages around the world

With the arrival of Sarah Vanderzon's new EP, Fortune Teller and her riveting first single "Are You With Me?,"  the world is being introduced to a fresh, insightful and enjoyable new voice in the annals of Americana, folk and country. 
Produced by Jordan Honsinger (Patrick James Clark, Morgan Griffiths) at his Nashville home studio and mixed by Jordan Oorebeek (Kalsey Kulyk, Sully Burrows) the native of rural Montreal and winner of the Emerging Artists Showcase at 2024's Boots and Hearts Music Festival weaves through six heartfelt narratives about love, attraction, loyalty and heartbreak: all delivered with potent melodies that underscore her universally relatable lyrics. 
The stylistic versatility showcased by Vanderzon on Fortune Teller also reveals a lot about the dedication to Universal Music Canada recording artist's craft: there's the rollicking folk elation of "Fortune Teller," an affirmation of lifelong love and devotion fueled by a noticeable banjo propellant; the bluesy bluster of "Give Me One Reason" that's highlighted by a tour-de-force Vanderzon vocal delivery of a love-me-or-leave-me ultimatum- and the cheeky, country-flavoured "Hey Partner," which tells a tale of a cowboy in a singles bar hitting on the wrong type of girl.

John Muirhead: The Never Ending Road Tour

Close Talker is an indie rock band from Saskatoon, Canada. After now a decade of performing and writing together, Close Talker has been an integral aspect to the individual lives of Will, Matthew, and Chris. The project that started as a passion for three friends in 2012 has become formative to their identities. It’s applying the nurture vs. nature argument to now-thirty year olds from the Canadian prairies, a place where change happens slowly and nostalgia holds strong. These are the core themes they dig into in their latest record ‘The Sprawl’.  ‘The Sprawl’ accounts for the years 2013-2019 in Close Talker: six years of full-on writing, recording, touring, rinse, wash, repeat. Those years included incredible highlights and successes, in exchange for burnout and time away from home. Ultimately this period ended with Close Talker needing a break, coaxed by the pandemic into an indefinite hiatus. Taking this break allowed the band to explore other avenues in music. Will dove deep into writing and production and began scoring music for films. Chris built Slow Weather Music, a record label with an expanding roster of new Canadian artists. And eventually, three years later, Close Talker found themselves reminiscing on all the fond memories from ‘The Sprawl’ with the ones causing burn out starting to fade. Memories brought inspiration, and inspiration brought Close Talker back into the studio. They have produced an album that brings together all they have learned over their career; earworm melodies, intricate drums, soaring guitars, and prairie charm.
