A musical evening featuring WomEnchant Chorus & Drummers, hosted by Niagara Peninsula Conservation Foundation.
Now in its fourth year, the Winter Solstice Concert will again take place at scenic Ball's Falls in celebration of the changing season. 
Set in the beautiful Glen Elgin Room of the Centre for Conservation, the event embraces nature on the verge of winter and aims to raise funds to protect our cherished wilderness.  
JOIN US as we bask in the warmth of music and fellowship and welcome the season of rest and renewal.
Funds raised through this event support restoration and education programs in the Niagara Peninsula watershed and help protect Niagara's natural legacy - now and into the future.

WomEnchant is a community chorus of women’s voices, committed to promoting peace, social justice, respect for planet earth and making positive changes in the world through sisterhood and song.
For over 25 years, WomEnchant has performed in support of events and organizations that raise funds and awareness about important issues in our world.  The addition of the Drummers group over 10 years ago brought a new dimension to WomEnchant performances.  The music we sing reflects our commitment to peace, equality and respect for all people and the world.  We actively support women composers, arrangers and performers.

The HANES CORN MAZE is a human sized puzzle, carved into over 18 acres of 10' tall walls of cornstalks! Find all the checkpoints and solve the puzzle. This is an event for all ages, bring the kids for help!
This is our 25TH year! Join us for a fun filled adventure through our giant corn! Follow a Map that leads to checkpoints. Solve clues. Find them all and come get a prize. If you get out...
Expect the Maze to take between 1-2 hours to complete depending on your age, experience, weather, and day or night.
Maze runs rain or shine so dress for the weather. Wear proper footwear. The paths in the Maze can accommodate strollers but this may be difficult directly after or during rain.

Winter evenings are a great time for looking up into the night sky as it gets dark early and the cool air helps improve visibility of objects in the sky. But what are we looking at? Do any astronomical events occur during the winter months? Join us in the Planetarium as we explore what’s up in the night sky at this time of year from our perspective in Hamilton. We’ll learn about objects we can see with the naked eye – the moon, some constellations, and a six-planet alignment!  Then we’ll look deeper into space and learn about objects that are above us but can only be seen using a telescope – like a nebula where stars are forming and other galaxies millions of light years away!

By pushing our understanding past our Solar System and beyond our Galaxy, we have learned that the largest scales that the universe are dominated by dark matter, which holds galaxies together, and dark energy, which is pushing our universe apart. Join us in the planetarium for a trip from Earth to the farthest, and oldest reaches of the universe. We'll highlight the discovery of dark matter, and dark energy and the search to unravel these biggest mysteries of the universe.

The Unknown Universe

“This is the oral tradition that I have passed down to the Haudenosaunee, the people of Six Nations, from one generation to the next.  I now pass that tradition onto you so you will also know and understand the teachings contained in iotsistohkwaronnion (the stars), and when you see me in the sky you will also remember my words.”  
Join us for another fascinating show that blends local culture, history, and modern-day astronomy and shares the Six Nations’ sky lore and language through traditional Indigenous night-sky stories.  With narration and visuals by a live presentation and pre-recorded excerpts (in English and Mohawk), learn about the story of Onekwá:tara – the Seven Dancers of the Pleiades, and how the story is portrayed in the night sky.  See the same stars with a completely different understanding and appreciation!
