International Women's Day Conference

𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟕𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏, 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲!

At YWiB UBC, we believe in the importance of supporting and encouraging women to succeed in whatever they choose to do in life. It is through this support of each other that we choose to challenge. Challenge the gender bias and inequality, and pave the way to break barriers to create a more inclusive world. This year's theme is #𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐓𝐨𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞." At YWiB UBC, we believe that supporting women is essential to creating a broader, more inclusive community of strong women.

To support this theme, we will be supporting a local not-for-profit, 𝐀𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐚 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 by donating on behalf of YWiB UBC and its members. Atira is committed to the work of ending violence against women, specifically in Vancouver communities. They provide low-barrier housing options for women fleeing from violence and have many programs to support women in the areas of education, family care, health and wellbeing, and employment.
