About the Workshops

We have some exciting workshop presentations lined up for this event from four incredible professionals in the tech industry. Below you’ll learn a bit more about what to expect from each of their presentations.

Allie Knull: “Leveraging Your Unique Brand - Crafting a compelling tech-focused pitch”

In today's rapidly evolving tech landscape, it's essential for professionals to not only excel in their technical skills but also effectively communicate their unique value proposition. This breakout aims to guide participants in crafting compelling personas with a tech-focused lens, enabling them to stand out in the competitive tech industry. They will have the attendees gain a deeper understanding of their strengths, passions, and unique value propositions that they will be able to effectively communicate their personal brand, in various professional settings.

Erin Davis: "Why Inclusion Matters + How to Build Stronger Relationships"

Explore the transformative power of inclusion in our interactive session, " Why Inclusion Matters + How to Build Stronger Relationships." Dive into how embracing diversity and fostering inclusion can significantly enhance relationship-building within communities and organizations. Participants will engage with practical strategies for creating environments where everyone feels valued and heard, promoting deeper connections and a thriving collective. Ideal for anyone looking to enrich their understanding and practice of inclusion for stronger, more meaningful relationships.

Margo Purcell:"Edmonton's Got Undiscovered Talent and So Do YOU! Uncovering your Hidden Talents"

We are each unique, vibrant humans.  We all have exceptional competencies, distinct knowledge and individual experiences that offer valuable insights and perspectives that the world of innovation truly needs.  Your perspectives and wisdom are a vital asset to the tech sector.

At this session we'll embark on a journey to discover what lies within you, the exciting opportunities that await, and how people in the Edmonton tech and innovation community can guide you toward a meaningful and fulfilling career in tech.

Zachary Novak: "Building Your Career Compass - The Secret to Career Navigation"

In our careers, we often search for a map—a series of steps to guide us to where we aspire to be. However, the most successful individuals understand that rather than a map, we can construct a compass to navigate our path.

Join CITI Founder, Zachary Novak, for this interactive session to build your own career compass, your secret weapon in navigating your tech career.
