Description
Jamal is a Syrian-Canadian writer, artist, editor, and human rights advocate. His memoir My Road from Damascus recounted his imprisonment in Syria and was shortlisted for the Hilary Weston Writers’ Trust Prize for Nonfiction. Jamal is also the author of Yara’s Spring and Princess Nai and Other Stories. He lives in Kingston.
