Description
Auditioning with Bronwyn Steinberg
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This workshop will focus on developing the skills required to give consistent and honest auditions. This workshop is open to all experience levels - both for people interested (and intimidated!) by the audition process, and those looking to improve their auditioning skills!
The morning will begin by covering some general audition basics, including examining resume examples and discussing how to select a monologue. This will be followed by presentation coaching by Bronwyn. Participants are strongly encouraged to bring a 1-2 minute monologue and/or song (memorization optional), and will have the opportunity to be coached individually. In the afternoon, we will dive into an examination of show specific auditions/call-back auditions, using printed sides from a specific show (The Importance of Being Earnest).
Bronwyn is particularly interested in what material YOU choose to present, so monologues/songs from any production are more than welcome! However, if you are stuck, here are some quick website links below: www.dailyactor.com/one-minute-monologues, https://monologueblogger.com/short-monologues-for-acting-auditions/, https://freedrama.net/small1o.html
