The Faculties of Arts; Media, Art, and Performance; and Science are pleased to host a terrifying University of Regina 50th Anniversary event on October 24, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.:
The 10th anniversary hometown screening of the movie WolfCop (2014), a made-in-Saskatchewan horror-comedy cult classic about werewolf police officer Lou Garou. [1]WolfCop was written and directed by Regina filmmaker Lowell Dean, filmed in Regina and Moose Jaw, and features Regina actors Leo Fafard and Amy Matysio.
The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Atrium of the Riddell Centre with a conversation between Department of Film Professor Mark Wihak, a University of Regina film maker and scholar, and Wolfcop Director Lowell Dean and Producer Hugh Patterson, followed by the screening at 7:00 p.m. in the ShuBox Theatre. Participants and guests will be treated to popcorn, mini-donuts, and refreshments.
Content warning: WolfCop features nudity, violence, gore, and frequent strong language.
Tickets are free, but as seating is limited reservations are required.
