Loud guitars, soaring vocals, and a booming rhythm section, When They Rise is a high energy rock band that will have you up and dancing. Equally at home both with fast, raucous numbers and slow burning ballads, When They Rise is highly versatile and capable of captivating an audience.
When They Rise draws inspiration from the music of their youth, creating a sound reminiscent of the Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, Muse, and Stone Sour. Born out of the songwriting partnership of Anthony Willmer and Frankie Cottrell, When They Rise is an alternative rock band hailing from the Vancouver area. Keep your ears peeled for this up and coming young band.

Ty Koch is a singer/songwriter based out of Vancouver, BC. While he is a classically trained opera singer, his true passion lies in rock and blues. This influence comes through in his singing, writing, and slide guitar playing. Drawing inspiration from The Doors, Elvis, and Jeff Buckley gave Koch a unique approach when it comes to his artistry. Ty recorded his first EP, titled ‘Helpless’, in the summer of 2017. He is now playing as many live shows as possible with his backing band, while also working on an EP that is soon to be released.
