Description

What Is: is a multipart performance and engagement series that examines the threads that tie music together. Our fifth edition, themed around noncompliance, explores how music can act as a direct tool of resistance against the spaces and systems that constrain and capitalize artistic practice.

At its core, experimentation is rooted in disobedience. This festival reclaims technologies, radicalizes perspectives, demands criticality and engages in collective creation to reimagine what it means to be an artist in this highly volatile time.

Fest pass holders should note that this pass includes workshops and concerts. If you are unable to commit to attending Night 1’s workshop as well as any other workshops you sign up for, do not get a fest pass and instead buy individual tickets.

The fest pass is for folks who can attend Night 1’s workshop + other workshops of their choosing and are also able to join as performers in their workshop groups.

Save $10 by getting a fest pass before membership discounts!

Are you a Music Gallery Member? Members receive an automatic discount (25%, 50%, or 100%) based on member levels. Learn more
