Refresh & Reframe: Reconnect to the Heart of Interpreting

The three provincial ASL/English interpreting organizations in Western Canada – ASLIA, MAVLI, and WAVLI – are pleased to announce that they are working together to organize a regional conference for interpreters working with sign languages. The objective of this conference is to allow interpreters, both Deaf and hearing, to refresh their passion for the profession, reframe on how their work has contributed to the heart of interpreting, and reconnect with each other in this exciting profession. CASLI has kindly offered us funding to organize this exciting event!

This event will be held October 16-18 2026 in Calgary Alberta. 

The Sandman Signature Hotel is the conference hub for registration, the Wine and Cheese event, meals and networking. All keynote presentations and conference sessions will be held at the University of Calgary downtown campus - just steps away from the hotel.

Ticket price will include:

Friday- Wine and Cheese + Entertainment Event (does not include dinner)

Saturday - Breakfast, keynote presenter, lunch, additional presenters (does not include dinner)

Sunday - Breakfast, presenters, keynote presenter (does not include lunch)

If a ticket becomes available due to a cancellation, Showpass will email people on the waitlist in the order they joined. You will then have 24 hours to complete your purchase.

If you do not complete your purchase within 24 hours (or choose not to), Showpass will automatically offer the ticket to the next person on the waitlist.
