Edmonton Athletics Invitational

The Athletics Canada National Track and Field Tour (World Athletics Continental Tour Silver meet) will once again feature a stop in Edmonton on July 2nd 2023. The worlds best will be in Edmonton to compete before heading to the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.

The schedule will include the 100 m, 800 m, hurdles, Javelin pole vault, and more. A few notable names featured in the 2022 event include Edmonton’s Marco Arop (Men's 800M World Bronze medalist in 2022) and Kelsey Lee Barber from Australia (Women's Javelin World Champion in 2022). Those that run the fastest, jump the highest, and throw the farthest IN THE WORLD will be at this event.

We will have food trucks and more to keep the fun going on July 2nd so bring your appetite!

In true Edmonton style, there will be community fun, like a celebrity relay and a Mini Legends kids event - all leading up to the main event on July 2nd. Check the website for all the details! Come join the fun on Canada day weekend and cheer on team Canada.

Foote Field is again primed to showcase this international event. Foote Field offers a small, intimate venue, the likes of which this level of world class athletes rarely compete in. Edmontonians in attendance will have the once-in-a-lifetime chance to be so close to these extraordinary athletes.
