About VYP Rotaract:

The Vancouver Young Professionals Rotaract Club is a group of young professionals that care deeply about three things: 1) giving back to our communities, 2) building our professional networks, and 3) strengthening our friendships. As part of Rotary International, we leverage their network to support our three goals. We meet regularly to socialize, learn, network and organize volunteer and philanthropic projects. 

 

About the Event: 

We are planning a Fundraising Auction on the evening of June 2nd, 2022, at Bill Reid Gallery. UNYA - Urban Native Youth Association was incepted in 1988 and has provided meaningful opportunities for Indigenous youth (Aboriginal, Metis, Inuit, First and new Nations, Status, Non-Status) in the urban setting for 34 years. Their mission is to support youth on their journeys by amplifying and celebrating their voices. And help realize their vision to Empower Indigenous youth, leading and inspiring all Nations.

 

Our fundraising auction aims to raise $10,000 for UNYA. We hope to involve successful indigenous businesses in the art, technology, tourism, food & beverages etc., to donate auction items, provide sponsorships etc. Through our fundraising, we hope to collect and showcase the bright and prosperous side of the indigenous culture and to inspire the public to learn more and find common ground with the indigenous society.
