VNM’s popular One-Page Score Project returns! This dynamic workshop series invites community members to create their own scores using graphic notation, which will then be interpreted and performed by Plastic Acid Orchestra. This chamber performance showcases inventive new works that blur the boundaries between notation, improvisation, and collective interpretation. 

The One-Page Score Project series is a community-based artistic initiative that introduces participants to the creative practice of graphic notation—a form of musical composition that uses images, symbols, shapes, colours, and visual patterns instead of traditional musical notation. The project demonstrates that anyone can create music, regardless of their formal musical training, by transforming visual ideas into sound. Through a multi-day workshop, participants experiment with sound, composition, gesture, texture, and imagination to create a single-page graphic score. These visual scores are then interpreted and performed by professional musicians, each bringing their own artistic perspective to the work. As a result, the same score can produce multiple unique musical interpretations, highlighting the open-ended nature of graphic notation.
