Join VMSA Mentors, Mentees, and select leaders from the community as we strengthen mentorship outcomes for entrepreneurs in Alberta.

Skillful coaching builds trust and delivers the impact that shifts your entrepreneur’s thinking and actions. This is the foundational component of VMSA’s mentorship model which you will learn and practice in this workshop.

Co-developed by VMSA with Roy Group, The Practice of Coaching workshop is built around practical frameworks, feedback models, and hands-on application. You’ll watch a coaching conversation unfold and unpack what made it work, practise giving and receiving feedback, and work in small groups to put the approaches to use. You’ll leave with stronger skills in listening, asking better questions, challenging constructively, and giving meaningful feedback, along with a better instinct for when to coach and when to advise.

This workshop is led by the Venture Mentoring Service of Alberta, a mentorship program that supports founders and CEOs going through the scaling stage of growth by surrounding them with a team of experienced Alberta entrepreneurs. VMSA Mentors bring shared experiences and provide a confidential, conflict-free space to work through challenges. The program is offered at no cost and is currently accepting new Mentees.
