The passion, the love, and the tormented beauty of the life of Vincent van Gogh is dramatized in this intimate play, which playwright Leonard Nimoy adapted from the hundreds of letters between Vincent and his brother, Theo. It is Paris 1890, Theo van Gogh mourns the suicide of his beloved brother Vincent a week earlier - who died in his arms at the age of 37. Theo, who was too overcome with grief to speak at the memorial, has invited artists, friends and anyone who would listen to him to an evening of shared memories of his beloved brother. It is his hope that he will finally be able to express himself and do justice to Vincent's legacy and reputation. As Theo recounts Vincent’s life journey, it is accompanied by 100’s of projections of the paintings Vincent was making at the time. It is a feast of visual beauty, and a meditation on the meaning of art and artistry in a world that measures success by sales... An evening of insight into a gifted, haunted master...
