Description

Join your fellow Aces and Aros for a chill afternoon prom-themed picnic at Jonathan Rogers Park.

Every year, the local Ace and Aro community hosts a prom, in order to provide an alternative for those who don't feel comfortable at their own proms. Come and celebrate queer prom! Many of us will take the chance to dress up in fancy wear, but there is no dress code; everything from a second-hand wedding dress to sweat pants and a sweater have been worn in the past. We're just happy to see you!

 Door prizes!

Come support local queer performers and artists!

Shade for your picnic area is provided

Dressing up encouraged but not necessary - Come as you are!

 BYO picnic blanket and snacks!

This free event is for folks who identify under the umbrella of Asexual and/or Aromantic.

Friends, family members and allies are welcome to attend.

Co-presented with Vancouver Aces & Aros.

Performers TBD

Hosted by Lee Keple

All Vancouver Pride events take place on unceded, occupied, traditional and ancestral territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw {Squamish), and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. We realize that the work we are able to do could not happen without the wisdom and intelligence of the two-spirit people and organizations that have taught us, stuck with us, and led us through organizational changes to better serve our LGBTQAI2S+ communities. We hold our hands up to thank them for their brilliance, resilience, patience and strength.
