Step into an evening of unparalleled elegance as the Vancouver Academy of Music’s esteemed faculty presents "Schubertiade" – a concert dedicated to the genius of Franz Schubert. Join us on October 19 at 7:30 PM in the intimate setting of Koerner Recital Hall, where our distinguished faculty will guide you through a musical journey that captures the essence of Schubert’s lyrical mastery and emotional depth.

The evening begins with the vibrant and stirring Quartettsatz, a piece that, despite its brevity, is filled with the intensity and innovation that defined Schubert's later works. The program continues with a selection of Schubert’s lieder, offering a glimpse into the composer’s poetic soul, followed by the evocative Shepherd on the Rock, where voice and clarinet intertwine to express longing and hope.

After a brief intermission, immerse yourself in the rich and lively melodies of the Trout Quintet, one of Schubert’s most celebrated chamber works. The performance promises to be a mesmerizing blend of virtuosity and lyricism, showcasing the collaborative brilliance of our faculty musicians.
