Music for the Stage: Mostly Mozart with an Ounce of Operetta!

Join the UTRGV Opera Theater for a delightful repast of opera scenes! The menu will feature a selection of Mozart operas, including scenes from Così fan tutte, Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni, and Die Entführung aus dem Serail, with a dessert offering from Franz Lehár’s The Merry Widow. Performances are at the UTRGV Performing Arts Complex in Edinburg on Sunday, May 5 (3:00pm) and Monday, May 6 (7:00pm). We hope to see you there!

 

UTRGV Opera Theatre presents multiple performances throughout the year, including programs of mainstage productions, opera scenes, and community outreach performances. The Opera Workshop ensemble is open to all university majors by audition and offers UTRGV students the opportunity to explore and perform works drawn from the vast operatic and musical theatre repertoire as they learn first-hand about opera productions, costuming, set design, stagecraft, and direction.

Música para el escenario: ¡Principalmente Mozart con una onza de opereta!

¡Únase al Teatro de la Ópera de UTRGV para disfrutar de una deliciosa comida de escenas de ópera! El menú contará con una selección de óperas de Mozart, incluyendo escenas de Così fan tutte, Le nozze di Figaro, Don Giovanni y Die Entführung aus dem Serail, con un postre de La viuda alegre de Franz Lehár.
