Open to everyone! You don't need to have an UP24 ticket to attend. 

What: 

Pre-UP24 networking event. This is your chance to connect with conference attendees, Prairie founders + investors, and The Firehood + Elevate teams to foster meaningful connections before the UP24 Conference kicks off!

Looking to Pitch?

Eligible startups* hoping to pitch to The Firehood, must:

1. Have a ticket to this event (this will be your one & only chance to pitch)
2. Attend the mixer in-person (no scheduled pitching slots, first come-first served)
3. Have a ticket to Uniting the Prairies 2024 (UP24)

Details:

• A private pitching room will be located on site. Pitching will occur throughout the mixer, except during speaking content.
• There will be no pitch-decks/AV, so make sure your elevator pitch is perfected!
• Total time allotted for each startup = 5 minutes max, including Q&A.
  • It's recommended you leave at least 2-minutes for the Q&A portion to maximize your time with The Firehood.

* Open to women + gender-diverse founders of a tech startup.

FAQs

Where should I park? 

Metered street parking is available. Make sure you plan extra time to find parking before arriving. 

 

Will food be provided?

Yes! Complimentary refreshments will be provided at the start of the event, including light snacks, finger foods, & beverages.

 

Do I need to have an UP24 ticket to pitch?

Yes. Finalists will pitch on stage during Day 2 of Uniting the Prairies, therefore founders looking to participate must have a ticket to both events (this mixer + the UP24 conference) prior to pitching.
