Description
An Edmonton Queer History Month event presented by Making Queer History, Archive Dive and The Pride Centre of Edmonton Library. Participants in this workshop will explore books, zines, newsletters, erotica and poetry spanning the last 40 years, discussing the ways lesbian, queer and trans people have described and explored dating, attraction, sexuality and relationships.
At a time when Alberta's government stirs controversy over depictions of sexuality, labeling as “pornographic” beloved classics like Alison Bechdel’s Fun Home, libraries are vitally important. While the event is free to attend, participants will be invited to make a financial donation to support the volunteer-run Pride Centre of Edmonton library.
Thursday October 16, 7-9pm
