Unbecoming

In collaboration with The 525's Curatorial Director Rowen Dinsmore and their first-ever Guest Curator, photographer Molly Schikosky, the organization is curating a group exhibition titled "Unbecoming." This exhibition delves into the diverse experiences and perspectives of womanhood across generations, featuring works by 10 women-identified artists: Leo Lauren Conquergood, Hannah Alex, Xiao Han, Berit Johnson, Emily Johnson, Mona Khan, Molly Schikosky, Darby Sutherland, Tammy Zunich, and Emma Zuck.

Unbecoming:

"Unbecoming" challenges and reclaims the phrase weaponized against women that to be a woman and act a certain way can be viewed as "unbecoming," and also references the idea of unpacking and unravelling generational impact left on women by women. Central to this exhibition are themes of evolving womanhood across generations, everyday moments that shape and celebrate female experiences, diverse expressions of femininity, and personal narratives that reveal intimate, transformative stories of empowerment.

    Pizza, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.

  • Ticket 1 - Reception Hours: 6:00pm - 9:00pm ( Artist Panel 7:00-7:30 pm )
  • Ticket 2 - After Dark Soiree: 9:00pm - Late (19+)
  • Your Reception ticket also grants you access to the After Dark event. The two separate ticket options are intended to track attendee numbers and manage event capacity.
