Warm, comforting, and deeply satisfying, the Ultimate Soup & Bake Experience in Hamilton is a hands-on cooking class designed for anyone who loves real food made from scratch. Hosted at Chocolate Tales’ intimate Hamilton studio, this seasonal workshop invites you to slow down, cook with intention, and build skills you’ll return to again and again. 🍞

Each class features a thoughtfully curated soup-and-bread pairing inspired by the flavours of the month, ranging from cozy winter classics like matza ball or split pea soup to bright, globally inspired options such as Thai coconut vegetable curry or Moroccan vegetable soup. While the menu changes throughout the year, every session stands on its own and teaches the essential foundations of great soup-making and bread baking—no prior experience required.

Guided by expert instruction, you’ll explore the core building blocks behind every successful soup, including flavour balancing, texture development, and umami layering. You’ll learn how aromatic bases shape a soup’s identity, how to adjust seasoning with confidence, and how to build depth without relying strictly on recipes. On the baking side, you’ll knead, shape, proof, and bake breads that perfectly complement each soup—from focaccia and fougasse to pita, scones, and soft dinner rolls.
