UCalgary New Student Orientation 2026

Welcome to UCalgary! Join us as we celebrate, connect, and officially kick off New Student Orientation.

Registration:

• Mandatory for all attendees.
• Use your @ucalgary.ca email.
• Create a Showpass account instead of checking out as a guest to avoid duplicate information entry.
• Carefully review your details, select correct sessions, and register early (no waitlists or extra seats)

***IMPORTANT

• Your registration will be voided if you do not use your UCalgary email address to register on showpass.

• Choosing Sessions:

  • All sessions are valuable—check descriptions on the website to decide.
  • **Event listings are not in chronological order, so double-check times

After Registration:

• Download the Showpass app (so you can see event locations) and log in with your registered email.
• You can access the campus map to navigate campus and locate venues throughout Orientation.
• Check your email for confirmation and updates.
• Save your QR code for session check-ins and ensure your phone is charged.

Open Studies Students:

• On day 2 choose the faculty session that aligns with your goals or based on interests.

Overall: Register early, stay organized, and plan ahead to make the most of Orientation.
