Description
Through a lecture-demonstration and hands-on workshop, (including writing and object movement), Sebastienne Mundheim/White Box Theatre will share their discovery process for a new performance: Twist the Grid, as they explore myth, science, history, and imagination around the life of the Delaware River and the language of independence. In praise of floods and reimagining history-telling -- with collaborators Harlee Trautman, Daniel de Jesús, Kennedy Candra -- this new work-in-development invites you to a process-sharing and workshop series rooted in these historic words and the environment from which they came. This will be a 90-minute workshop including: movement exercises animating installation and objects, automatic writing exercises, with accompaniment of Daniel de Jesus on electric cello and vocals.
We hope participants will walk away with new experiences in moving with objects, activating installation spaces, thinking about environment and ideology, and maybe meeting a few good people. Please wear dark loose clothing in which you can move if you plan to participate!
