Description
Experience the beauty and meditative art of Tao Calligraphy, a unique practice rooted in the ancient tradition of Yi Bi Zi (One Stroke Writing). Guided by the wisdom of Da He Xie (Greatest Harmony), this interactive workshop invites participants of all ages to slow down, breathe, and discover creativity as a pathway to greater harmony, mindfulness, and well-being.
Blending ancient Chinese cultural arts with mindful movement, breath, and brushwork, Tao Calligraphy offers a unique experience where every flowing stroke becomes an expression of balance and presence. Inspired by the timeless principle of Tian Ren He Yi—the harmony of Heaven, humanity, and nature—you will explore how writing can become a moving meditation that nurtures inner calm while deepening your connection with yourself, others, and the natural world.
Participants will enjoy a short introduction to the philosophy of Tao Calligraphy, a guided meditative experience, and hands-on practice using authentic Chinese brushes and reusable water-writing paper. You'll learn to write with your whole body—not just your hand—allowing movement, breath, and awareness to flow together in one continuous stroke.
No previous art, calligraphy, or Chinese language experience is needed. All materials are provided. Simply bring your curiosity, an open heart, and a willingness to flow into Greatest Harmony.
