Top 7 Over 70 Gala

The Community Foundation of Southeastern Alberta is the first community in Alberta to follow in the footsteps of the Calgary Top 7 of 70 Awards to celebrate the remarkable achievements of 7 individuals who have made significant contributions to their respective fields after the age of 70. 

Founded in 2017, by Jim Gray, Calgary philanthropist, these awards recognize outstanding accomplishments in areas such as science, literature, philanthropy, and public service, demonstrating the ongoing impact of seasoned individuals who defy age norms, shape our world, and continue to inspire.

Each award honours a diverse range of talents, from groundbreaking scientific discoveries to influential literary works or exemplary humanitarian efforts. The Top 7 of 70 Awards not only applaud remarkable accomplishments but also serve as an inspiration for generations to come, emphasizing that age is not a barrier to innovation, creativity, and positive societal impacts.
