Sequence - 001 is the first in a series of club nights focusing on house and techno music, brought to you by Emotion Festival.  No gimmicks, no frills, just proper underground music selected by a variety of DJs! 

Jeff Incarnate

Co-founder of the Sequence club nights along with JADJ and longstanding prairie purveyor of all things techno, house and breakbeat, Jeff has been DJ’ing and producing for more than a quarter of a century under various monikers. He was also formerly the drummer for Saskatoon goth rock outfit, The New Jacobin Club as well as a graduate of Alchemia Audio College in London, UK. He has performed across Canada, released music on more than a dozen labels and has also worked as a music educator, helping to foster future generations of Canadian talent. He performed at 17 years of Connect Festival, and has recently been a mainstay at Electric Sky and now, Emotion Festival as well. His music has been championed by artists such as The Crystal Method, DJ Icey, Far Too Loud/Neurodriver, The Incredible Melting Man and many others over the years, although he focuses more on techno than break beats these days. His sound is a mix of deep underground music with nods to the familiar, mixed in complex layers, looping and sampling and sometimes even live drumming. He is probably best know for using samples and motifs to tie all of the disparate tracks together into a single story, repeating subtle (and sometimes, not so subtle) themes.

Kinder has been a household name for many years in the Saskatchewan scene. He has had many residences in Regina and was one of the creator’s of the Garden stage at Connect festival. House is a life style for this veteran dj playing all styles from tech, deep and funky house. With his experience playing clubs, underground parties and festivals he knows how to bring the party.

RICE RICE BABY 

With well over a decade of experience in the industry Rice Rice Baby is an expert at creating fun atmospheres full of major energy. After spinning tunes at countless corporate events he gravitated to the electronic scene, with the help of the Beat Den crew, where his talent and creative style of mixing really has the chance to shine. Nowadays he can be found at festivals, local events or clubs around town, always bringing some warm fun vibes with him. Influences include artists such as Neon Steve, Shiny Things, Pineo & Leob, Girl Talk, DJ Cheapshot, Dr. J, DJ Premier, DJ Eclipse, J. Worra, Purple Disco Machine Weather he's playing a smooth deep house set full of disco vibes or a bass set full of hip hop cuts he's sure to keep your feet moving and booty quivering. This beat blender is 100% dedicated to his craft and never fails to create some unpredictable and unforgettable vibes!

YAYA

YAYA is a new DJ currently located in Saskatoon. Her roots and taste for music originated from the underground rave scene in BC. With a passion for tech and bass house, her carefully curated track selection caters to several audiences and state of mind by incorporating sounds of garage, trance, minimal and techno. Her love for a popping bassline and electrifying melodies will be reflected in the energetic vibes YAYA brings to every set.
