Description
After a sold-out run at the 2025 Toronto Fringe Festival, where it won T.O. Live’s Best of Fringe, Things My Dad Kept by Ronit Rubenstein will receive its West Coast Premiere at this year’s Chutzpah!
A few years ago, playwright and performer Ronit Rubinstein helped her mom clean out the family home. This meant going through her father’s office, a space barely touched in the decade following his death from cancer in 2012.
Things My Dad Kept is a deeply personal piece about her relationship with her father Mordechai, a Holocaust survivor, and how she learned more about him while looking through the items and memories he kept in a filing cabinet drawer.
This performance is presented as a Relaxed Performance. Some house lights will remain on throughout the show, volume levels are slightly lowered, and the audience can leave and re-enter as needed.
This show is generously sponsored by the Stanley Shalom Zielony Foundation.
Presented in Partnership with the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre.
