Description

Kingston based rockers The Wilderness return to Saskatoon with hometown hero's W3apons for a night of rock!

The Wilderness: The Wilderness is a sextet based in Kingston, ON that has a massive and mighty sound - a propulsive and potent indie-rock-fusion with the live energy of an arena-rock band, the lyrical eloquence of Canada's folk heroes, and the musical precision of a hardened touring outfit. Featuring driving guitars, lush vocal harmonies, soaring saxophones, and heavy synthesizers, the Wilderness bring their own diverse musical backgrounds to a shared experience that evokes a sense of community, camaraderie, and forward momentum. Pre-pandemic, The Wilderness has been known in Kingston as one of the hardest working bands around, playing almost 500 shows, independently releasing three albums and nine singles, earning Indieweek 2019's Best Emerging Artist Award, and charting on the NACC's top 200 for seven consecutive weeks. Post-pandemic, the band is continuing to earn that moniker the old fashioned way; by climbing in their tour-van and playing their hearts out wherever the road will take them.

W3APONS:W3APONS is a Canadian Rock trio from Saskatoon, SK. The band’s debut single “Off the Top of My Heart” reached #11 on the Canadian Active Rock Charts completely independently in 2019. This was the beginning of a pattern that would continue for the band’s next 5 releases, all of which independently went Top 40 in Canada, including their first Top 10 “Bye Baby Gone”. In 2020, W3APONS won the Saskatchewan Music Award for Rock/Pop Artist of the Year, and their debut EP “Adios Radio” was nominated for the SMA for 2021 Best Album of the Year.W3APONS’s independent charting successes and relentless touring resulted in them being handpicked by Theory of a Deadman to accompany Theory for all 21 Canadian dates of their Say Nothing 2020 World Tour. In May 2022, W3APONS also joined The Trews for their Wanderer tour throughout western Canada.Drummer/vocalist Tallus Scott, bassist/vocalist Myk Ulan-Hohol, and guitarist/vocalist Jordan Welbourne are the elements in the perfect storm that is W3APONS - Energetic, Hard-hitting, and unmistakably Rock & Roll.W3APONS has shared the stage with Theory of a Deadman, The Trews, Monster Truck, Propagandi, The Lazys and The Wild.
