Description
The Tempest Project: Let Music Lead Your Way
Inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest, Music on Main’s The Tempest Project is a music-filled journey through a theatre enveloped in sound and light. Explore themes of revenge and forgiveness, love, magic, freedom, and betrayal as you plunge into this musically audacious production, which stands as a poetic response to our current moment of global challenge and change.
Led through the Vancouver Playhouse, audiences embark on a roving musical adventure, witnessing performances in unexpected places. Musicians weave intricate melodies into a rich musical fabric filled with mystery and beauty. As new spaces and sounds are discovered, new depths of meaning unfold.
The Tempest Project brings together leading musicians, composers, designers, and theatre-makers under the direction of David Pay. Promising to be an unforgettable experience, The Tempest Project is this summer’s must-see theatrical music event. There is a limited number of tickets available for each performance. Book yours today!
Audience members will be led by guides around the Vancouver Playhouse throughout the show. You will walk and be on your feet, including walking up and down stairs and standing for many of the performances. There will be some moments where seating will be available, but much of the experience will have audiences standing.
An accessible route will be available for those with mobility needs and those who require accommodations.
If you require special accommodations, please contact us after purchasing your tickets and before your performance. Our team will be happy to assist you and ensure that all your needs are met. Contact info@musiconmain.ca or call 604-879-9888.
IMPORTANT...Please note that due to the nature of this performance latecomers will not be admitted, please arrive at least 10 minutes before showtime. Thank You!
