Island-rock group The Steadies bring their high-energy show to the King Eddy stage for a legendary Cinco de Mayo party on Friday, May 5.
About The Steadies
The Steadies aren’t invited to the party—they ARE the party. Mixing the explosively popular dance-rock genre with funk and reggae influences, The Steadies have created a signature sound they’ve dubbed, ‘island rock.’
The Steadies’ frontman Earl Pereira got his rock n’ roll pedigree as a founding member of established Canadian rock band Wide Mouth Mason, who had three gold records, nine WCMA Awards, three JUNO nominations and has opened for iconic artists like the Rolling Stones and The Tragically Hip.
Ever the road warriors, The Steadies play upwards of 100 shows worldwide each year, winning over every crowd with their highly energetic and engaging performances. Recent highlights include performances at the 2022 Grey Cup and 2023 Juno Awards Festival. And with brand new music set for release, a 25-date Summer Tour including a half-time performance at the Labour Day Classic in Regina in front of 35,000 people, expect a big year from The Steadies.
