Emerging out of the counterculture community of East Vancouver, their entertaining performance style is a product of contemporary digital age. Luciterra's style is an innovative hybrid of mechanical robotic movement juxtaposed with sweeping lines. Drawing inspiration from each company members’ various training in bellydance, contemporary, Jazz, and Flamenco, Luciterra’s dance resists categorization and has been deemed “a new dialect of human movement” (Edmonton Journal).

 

Omnika liberates imaginations with bizarre theatrics and the infinite exploration of movement. Starting in 2013 as a skill-sharing collective in Vancouver, Canada, Omnika in Motion has since evolved into a multidisciplinary performance company that has featured numerous dancers, circus artists, and theatre professionals. The women of Omnika represent both the intersection of various cultures, backgrounds, and identities, and the communal love of crafting unique and evocative experiences through the shared language of dance and performance. Omnika has performed at various events and festivals throughout Alberta, BC, and California- including multiple appearances at Shambhala Music Festival, Cirque de la Nuit, and Tribal Fest- for audiences of all ages.
