THIRD ACTion Film Festival and Lougheed House present:

The Power of Music: An afternoon of film, music and tea in the historic Lougheed House

In-Person: Lougheed House, 707 13 Ave SW, Calgary, AB

Be moved by a selection of short films to engage in an interactive music session. You are also invited to tour the historic house and garden, have tea, and chat with old and new friends.

Through the interactive session, learn how music can enhance your wellness and explore its powerful impact, including the benefits of music therapy. Don't miss the chance to connect, learn, and experience music's healing power!

Shannon Robinson, BMT, MTA, a Certified Music Therapist since 1999, loves working with children….and adults…and seniors… really everyone.  She believes that music cultivates this connection and can be a catalyst for wellness and growth.

Short Films

Canadian Premiere of Never Fade Away, a mulitiple-award-winning film by Donna Weng Friedman which began as a love letter to her parents. Told through narration, music and dance, this short film shines a light on the healing power of music as well as the power of the immigrant experience.

Calgary filmmaker Darold Black made the short film Music is Healing featuring JB Music Therapy which will lead us into an interactive experience with Shannon from JB Music Therapy.

You will need to have a Showpass account to register for this event.  If you do not, just start registering for the event and creating an account will become part of the process (Showpass has set it up this way).

Purchase your ticket on Showpass and bring it to Lougheed House.
