If you’ve never seen the Robin Williams and Nathan Lane classic The Birdcage, you’re in for an absolute treat. This is 90s comedy at its most iconic, showcasing two legends at peak form in one of the most electric double acts in cinema history.

Set in vibrant Miami Beach, the story begins with a simple plan that quickly falls apart. A young couple’s engagement brings two very different families together for one carefully arranged dinner. The only rule is to behave “normally.” It doesn’t last.

What follows is a masterclass in farce, as disguises, panic, and perfectly timed chaos escalate with unstoppable momentum, growing funnier as everything spirals out of control.

Beyond the comedy, The Birdcage is a landmark for LGBTQ+ representation in mainstream Hollywood. Based on the French play La Cage aux Folles, it centres on a loving, long-term gay couple with humour and humanity, helping reshape what a big studio comedy could be by putting love and acceptance at its core.

To complete the night, the themed cocktail is the Pink Flamingo – vodka, grapefruit, lime, simple syrup, and cranberry. Loud, vibrant, and just a little bit fruity, making it the perfect nod to the world of The Birdcage. Available only through pre-order online.
