Who knew the nexus of Boston and rural places in Manitoba and England is Vancouver, Canada. Yes. That is absurd, but can a group of musical weirdos like the Lone Palms be wrong about anything? Alex Cooper, Dave Comrie, Dan Cerinoand Stacy Mack draw from a mutual love of the carefree, cross-country drawl of artists like Neil Young, America and the Eagles, while loving to take a dip in the ink of such varied and frenetic artists as E.L.O, The Creation, Queens of the Stone Age and BenCaplan.
Having formed their musical identities through years of session work, drunken jams, broken bands and the quest for the ultimate good times playlist, you can expect their live showto hit you like a fresh breeze of ol’ school rock and grunge-Americana. Don't worry though, this pare an emotionally available group of fellas -- they'd love to hear how your day is going. Be sure sure to check out this rare, fine thing: a musical gumbo ofgrit, talent and emotion -- tied up in a bow of enthusiasm and love for the world of sound. No soft noodles here. With lead vocalist and drummer, Brett Frigon, delivering fierce lyrics while simultaneously holding down a thunderous beat, it’s a mood setter from the start. This energy is seasoned with hints of rock and roll, indie and jazz.

Leah Barley was born in Saskatoon, raised in Ontario, and fell in love with old time country and blue grass once she moved to Canmore, Alberta in 2006. She bought a banjo and taught herself how to play and within two months she was writing and performing her own songs and covering some favorites.Leah moved to Vancouver, BC in early 2010 and found herself collaborating with local artists of all kinds. She recorded her first EP "Fly Away" during the summer of 2011, her second "Close Your Eyes" in Spring of 2014, and her third "Come Home" is set to be release in Fall of 2016.

Sam Dowdell is a singer-songwriter from Vancouver, BC Canada. After releasing her first EP, she is currently working on her first full-length album. Sam's rhythmic melodies, over tender guitar and piano riffs, create a coffee-shop indie-pop meets delicate RnB sound. She draws inspiration from artists such as Tori Kelly, Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, and has been compared to singer-songwriter Kina Grannis.After building up her experience and style as a songwriter and backup vocalist, Sam Dowdell is ready to hit the scene as a solo artist. Sam loves and wants to thank the beautiful people at Van City Studio, for encouraging her to take these next steps in her career.
