Description

Awaken primal ways of expressing and relating — to one another and to the living world — in this immersive group music-making experience. Feel the aliveness and sense of belonging that arises when we engage one of humanity’s oldest ways of creating connection and social bonds, and working through the complexities of human life.

Guided by Luke Burton, an accredited music therapist, registered clinical counsellor, and facilitator of music-centred psychotherapy, this experience is held with care and intention. Known for creating spaces that are both playful and profound, Luke supports participants in reconnecting with their innate capacity for expression, connection, and creativity through sound.

We begin in circle with a check-in, inviting participants to name what is alive in their hearts, minds, and emotions. Whatever you bring — joy, grief, uncertainty, gratitude, heaviness, longing — becomes part of the shared field. The music is not separate from our lives; it becomes a space where our lived experience can be expressed, witnessed, worked, and transformed through the therapeutic force of The Living Music.

Simple instruments will be provided. No musical experience or ability is required — just a human nervous system ready to awaken the latent musicality evolution has placed within us.

In a low-pressure, safe, and expertly guided environment, participants can expect to feel grounded, witnessed, energized, and connected. The facilitator guides music-making experiences that cultivate deep listening, empathy, creativity, and playfulness. Percussion instruments, bells, guitar, body percussion, voice, and movement may all be used as we respond to how the living music wants to move the group.

We close in circle with a check-out, creating space to integrate insights, name shifts, and honour what has unfolded — carrying the resonance of the shared experience back into daily life.
