Description

The Last Ship brings Sting’s acclaimed musical to Theatre Royal Drury Lane in a powerful new production inspired by his childhood in the North East of England.

Set in the shipbuilding town of Wallsend, the story follows a community facing the closure of the shipyard that has shaped generations of workers and their families.

As livelihoods, traditions, and a way of life are threatened, the people of Wallsend must come together to fight for their future. With Sting starring as shipyard foreman Jackie White and a cast of more than 50 performers, The Last Ship explores love, loss, resilience, and the strength of a community during times of change. The production features songs including Island of Souls, All This Time, and When We Dance alongside Sting’s original score.
