The Calling of an Engineer - 2026 Fall Ceremony

The 2026 Fall Iron Ring Ceremony for eligible Student and Postgraduate Engineering Candidates and guests or ring presenters, hosted by Camp 5.

Please review ceremony details on our website before completing your registration and payment. 

All candidates must register and participate in the ceremony to be obligated and receive an Iron Ring. Student candidates can apply for registration to the event via the Showpass site. 

Postgraduate candidates must apply via the Camp 5 web form to be registered. Once the application has been reviewed and the eligibility confirmed, a postgraduate candidate will be notified to register via the Showpass site to reserve a ticket. 

The 2026 Fall ceremony will be held on October 6, 2026 at the SFU Surrey Campus: Lecture Theatre Room 1002 (10285 University Drive).

Camp 5 offers each candidate 1 ring presenter ticket. Guest Ring Presenters must be obligated engineers and are nominated by candidates. Guests who are not obligated engineers may purchase general guest tickets while quantities last and attend the ceremony in solemnity in the upper sections.

 

Please Note:

• No late entry. Strictly enforced.
• There will be no sales at the door. Tickets must be purchased online before the event.
• No in-and-out / re-entry.
• Parking at the venue is not included in ticket price.
• Children must be able to sit quietly to attend the ceremony.
• No photography during the ceremony.

 

Agenda:

• Doors Open and Check-in: 4:30pm - 5:45pm
• Entrance Doors Close: 5:45pm (NO LATE ENTRY) 
• Ceremony: 6:00pm - 7:30pm

What is the appropriate attire or Dress Code for the Ceremony? 

The Camp 5 Dress Code is intended to maintain the standards, professionalism and traditions of the Ceremony and is normally business casual. Participants are encouraged to adhere to this code, dress as if you are going to a job interview.
